I was requested by one of my friends to "quicly create" :)rolleyes:) an Enfos Team Survival in Starcraft 2, as it is very hard to get a team of 10 persons to play in Warcraft 3 nowadays.

So I started brainstorming on this idea, and came to the conclusion that it would be pretty good in Starcraft, even though it would take a pretty decent amount of time.

I wan't to know if there would be anyone interrested in joining in on this project or just contribute with ideas.
I basically "just" need someone to help me with the heroes, as this is a pretty big part of the map, and if theres someone who got a good item system that would be great too.

I have already made a terrain to show how I was thinking the map should look like:

Sounds good, I like Enfos in Warcraft 3 and I would definitely like to see a well polished enfos version in Starcraft 2.

I think the map needs to be bigger though.

Same with me :)

I've tried my very best to recreate the terrain from warcraft 3 - what is it that you would like bigger? :)

The terrain is pretty good in my oppinion. I agree that it looked bigger in wc3, but SCII units are smaller so, there shouldn't be a problem :)

Hell yea, I have been missing Enfos, well at least the balanced versions. Question, is it going to be 5v5 like Enfos or is it going to be even teams such as 4v4 or 6v6? Also are you just doing SC2 versions of the original Enfos heroes, doing all new heroes, or a mix of them?

I don't know, it feels like it was bigger in Warcraft 3. Maybe I'm mistaken.
Not that you mention it, the upper two "fork" pieces of the terrain might need to get extended, I'll check it out.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly :)

It is going to be a 5 versus 5 map, and at the moment I plan for 40 levels (not the orinal units used in enfos, but probably a lot of the units with the same abilities).
Some of the heroes might get remade in SC2, but it will be a mix as the data editor opens up a ton of new options for hero creation (And I would guess the most of the heroes from the Wc3 Enfos were created duo to the lack of options for ability creation).
The ability system are probably going to be the same; 2 abilities from lvl 1 and another one at lvl 6 and the final ability at lvl 10.

None of you are interrested in joining in on the project?

Perhaps you could tell us what the point of the map is or will be or how it will play out or so?
You know, for those two people, like myself, with no idea what an Enfos might be.

enfos was a team survival game where units normally spawn like a td, you protect the tower in the middle and try to outlast the opposing team

only instead of using towers to defend, you used a hero (unless you were the hero that built towers..) - you get the idea

I see.
And that gray thing in the middle is the bio-dome(?) that needs protection?

Actually, if that thing is the size of a bio-dome, I've somewhat to agree with the previous posters that thought the map might perhaps be too small.
Well, no idea really. Guess that needs to be seen in an actual game.

Oh, sorry should have informed better.

Well in the Wc3 version, the base is a little bit smaller, and so is the "Circle of Power" (In this case the biome sized circle). The distance which the enemy creeps has to travel is about the same, and the distance from the ramp and to the "Circle of Power" is the same.

The idea of the map is to protect your "Circle of Power" (which got 100 health (Loses 1 for each attacker entering)) against attackers, while the oposing team is doing the same thing. Meanwhile you got yourself a "Shrine" from which you can summon additional attackers to assist yourself or attack the enemy team.

just think of it like a vertical hero line wars where the creeps are spawned automatically and instead of leaking when monsters reach the end they have to destroy your "base" building
