The big baddy of D3?

Think about this now. In Diablo 1, we trapped Diablo and the hero we were made a foolish choice in trapping the demon in his own body. In Diablo 2, Diablo escapes and goes one step further, not just unleashing his own kinds of hell and fury, but having his two brothers aid him in his quest.

Now they're all dead. Who's left in the world of Diablo? The site even claims a "new terror" falls from the sky. Who is this "new terror"?

I have two ideas.

Tyrael, corrupted by the destruction of the Worldstone is our new enemy.

Or, Diablo Mephisto and Baal had a daddy Corny, but predictable and a well-used/milked choice for baddies.

If all else fails, there's always the option of strange, trans-dimensional, unfathomable waves of not clearly specified power radiations that somehow end up in a new or neighbor or so galaxy or level of existence and call up an entirely new (series of) TripleB(s)(*).

Alternatively, he or they somehow lost some mysterious artifact, some passer-by picks it up...

Anyway, it's all about hacking and slaying anyway. And some video every couple steps that "explains" it all. Epically.

I also have 2 ideas.

1. Deckard Cain becomes container for Diablo's soul - he met both Diablo I and II and he himself admits in the journal that he feels corruption within himself (that, if I remember right ).

2. Corrupted Tyrael. This fits the falling from the sky as well as the claim that you have to confront both heaven and hell.

Although this second theory is a bit too obvious, don't you think? I dunno, it was too easy with the Diablo III announcement and all the ice stuff... I think we will see some big twist now .

some scientists found peices of the smashed soulstone of that what was forgotten for a long time. after discovering such amazing crystals they thought they had found a jackpot. after days of reasearch they figured out how to clone the mysterious stone and created D-CLONE!

I think Ace or I are the closest, me with a Corrupted Tyrael idea and Ace with his dimensional rift idea. Think about it. The World stone was said to protect Sanctuary from the Burning Hells or whatever they called Hell in the game. Well, with everyone from Hell dead, who's to say that the Worldstone's destruction didn't open Sanctuary up to OTHER places just as bad.

In reality i think Diablo is somehow revived, even with his stone smashed, or Tyrael is corrupted, seeing how that long ass cinematic showed some dude stealing that thing from who i believed was cain, who was in that small room. Then he found out it wasnt someone good, and he ran after him, looked like he was in a bar @.@
