Hello

Is there a simple trigger or AI trick i can do to just make any non player heroes automatically learn and use spells as they level?
I already have all the triggers for the computer players attacks and different movements set up so I don't need to apply a full AI script, i just want them to cast spells.

Not that I know of. You could try to use the AI editor to create a custom AI that will learn your custom abilities but you wouldnt really be able to teach it how to use them properly. I would recommend doing it via triggers.
