This is the first beta version of Icecrown Defence v1.5

This map contains 18 heroes and over 100 items, combineable in recipes. It is an AOS map, and the story is about the two greatest fractoins - The Humans and The Undeads fighting for Icecrown.

Because of the little time and the too much work to be done for now i publish only the 1.5b version, that contains about 15% of the heroes, 50% of the items and 10% of the quests, that will be available in version 2.0 (upcomming release). I hope you like it.

Any help about error reports or bugs will be highly appreciated and anyone, who posts an argumented and well explained bug report will recieve a +rep. You can also email me about the bugs at [email protected]

This map is entirely created on world editor patch 1.21b, so it will run on every version of WC3.

FAQ:
1. There are some items that cant be found in the basic merchants (like Mask of Death). Why cant i find them?
Answer:
There are two secret merchants on the map. The first one, closer to the humans, is east of the second tower on the middle path. It can be recognised by the small green circle marking its position. The second one, closer to the undeads, is north of the big mountain in the western part of the map and east of the useless hill (v1.5b) or the small forest (v1.51b), marked by a green spot again.
2. How can i travel on water?
Answer:
By ship.
3. The terrain seems a little too flat and simple, there are almost no secrets and there are at least 5 absolutely useless location, some of them with no way to get in. Why is that?
Answer:
The map (including the terrain) is UNFINISHED, and this is just a beta version. For the greater version i am planning to make an AoS map combined with an RPG (maybe ORPG if i add an optional save-load system). In the present status of the map there are some places, that are going to be used for quests or 1v1 PVP fights, there will be a secret trade district, containing items bought by another type of money (not gold or lumber and unobtainable by cheats). The reason i published the v1.5(x)b is to see the comments and see if there is any sence of doing all that planned work.

I was pretty fun i liked the way the units did good damage so making tanking a lot harder. Over all i think it was good.
Heroes - 8/10 Decent ideas
Terrain - 5/10 Kinda plain i think you need a bit of help
Layout - 4/10 Normal AoS layout so it was low score for me
Spells - 7/10 Triggered :thup:

Over all GOOD :thup:

Thanks for the quick responce, im giving you a +rep for being the first to test the map :thup:

And for the others: i would appreciate if you post here any:
1) Suggestions about rebalancing or changes of the existing heroes, items or skills. Suggestions about brand new heroes will also be useful.
2) Bug reports - any kind of bugs that are still not posted in the main thread
3) Graphics/Sound effect bugs - this includes non-working icons, models and sounds, also every non-working Buff or Disabled icon

Well looking at the map again i saw lots of tooltip and name bugs. I will make a list asap.
EDIT: If you ever need help i can try help you out.

It will be cool if the terrain was better, also you could try to have some ideas to change it from Normal AOS

The reason I posted this thread is more to see other people's oppinion about the map, so if you have any suggestions to make it better please post them... And actualy I would like to see any comments about do you think it will be a good idea to combine an AoS map with a RPG or an ORPG.

I will need someone who can help mi with the tests of the map, it has a bug that I want to fix but i dont have any friends that can help me with it.. If someone can help by testing 5-6 times in multiplayer to see when the bug is gone please send me a PM so i can tell you when and what to test.

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
