Hmm, I was creating a variable to store a string, and I want it to create a new line each time I store a new string, like this:

Set StringVar = StringVar + |nThis is the first line.
Set StringVar = StringVar + |nThis is the next line.

It would work each time a player created a new structure, and it would store how they got that structure. My problem, is when I show the variable, in this case, StringVar, it shows up like this:

|nThis is the first line.|nThis is the next line.

What am I doing wrong? Doesn't |n start a new line?

My guess would be that it doesn't work with messages. Actually, is it used anywhere else but tooltips and quest menu?

This is how you would do it:

|n|cffffcc00Level 1|r - 1000 dmg. |n|cffffcc00Level 2|r - 800 dmg etc.

On abilities, it's 2 |n|'s, so |n|n|cffffcc00Level1|r

Anything.

Nah he's using triggers, not Tooltipping.

Isn't there a text box when you edit the variable? If so, then you can just press 'Enter' and go down a line?

Eh, I'm getting over my head here. I don't even know what a StringVar is -.-

Edit
Oh silly me, it's just a friendly variable.

Thats what I did.

|n|cffff0000Arrow Tower|r: Arrow + Wood = Arrow Tower

In game it shows up as |nArrow Tower: Arrow + Wood = Arrow Tower.

The color works, the new line doesn't.

Edit: When using Concentate strings, it doesn't let you use enter to create a new line.

It's just that you can't set a string variable be multiple lines. You could have multiple variables and enter the lines in the message action.

Don't use strings and just type it in. Or just do:

Message 1
Message 2
Message 3
...

I think I will use multiple variables. Anything, I am already using an array for each player, so, unless I could figure out multidimensional arrays on warcraft, I'm messed in that way. I'll use separate variables each. That will suck for 30 variables, and as I add more towers. =(

Edit: I can't type it in. It HAS to be a variable, as it keeps changing, and adding on to the variable, which needs to be accessible at any time to one of 8 players. :banghead:

Eight different arrays.
