Partitions: error #113

so... i have 2 disks: mine and my mom's. my mom has WinXP installed on a single partition. I , on the other hand, have

devided my hd into 2 partitions: one on which i installed winXP and the other one is just music files.

I installed Mandrake 9.1. during the installation it let me resize/create new partitions, the usual process (i tried to resize my xp

partition and create new ones after that). and so I did. the problem is as follows: installation is over, linux won't load, my xp

won't load (on my hd, not my mom's). Partition magic won't recognise the partitions on my hd and it wrote "error #113" on it (in

yellow). through "My Computer" I can see my mom's disk, an empty disk (which is the damaged one) and the music disk. the

music disk is perfectly working sicne i havn't touched it although partition magic won't recognise it. PowerQuest has a solution

to this problem but it's not working for me since my error is not on a single partition. here's their solution:

Through ptedit i can see some partitions on my disk, probably the right number of partitions.

P.S. a few hours ago i had a similar problem. i tried resizing my XP partition and stopped the process in the middle. PM wrote

"PqRP" on that partition and windows didn't recognise it. the solution was really simple according to PowerQuest:

now the problem is different and the solution provided by PowerQuest is not satisfying me. Help me !:)
