Yea..
I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a good (And free, I have no income, I'm a kid) text editor that can be used for creating web documents.

Notepad and JIdea aren't good enough =x
Notepad, because it doesn't highlight syntax or spot errors, etc.
And JIdea just uses too much CPU for only a few extra features >.<

So..
Yea, anything good to recommend?

------
Also, I'm learning PHP (I found some free webhosting that provided php and mySQL, figured now would be a good time to learn.

I have a question..
How many ways are there to.. umm.. call a php script?

I'm not really familiar with it yet.
I can only think of forms and just plain going to the php site (Like setting the php file to be your home-page)

And..
Umm..
How do Javascript and PHP come together for something awesome? o.0
Can I pass data from a Javascript to a PHP as a variable (Without a form)? o.0

And..
How do you register a log in session with PHP and MySQL?
Like, a forum.. I guess.

I just can't wrap my mind around it yet =x

[EDIT]
Umm..
If I want to reference a php file (We'll call it 'test.php') on my site in a form's .action..
Do I need to specify the full path or can I just do this:
Code:
Form.action = 'test.php';

I've been reading up tuts on w3schools.com =x
I find the layout so easy to read.

I've made a hit-counter! haha

A form on that page may use
showthread.php (assumes you stay within the same folder as the current page)
or
/forums/showthread.php (works from anywhere within that site)
Okay, that's good to know.

Umm..
Can I, like, do this?
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
    var Stuff = //Some PHP thingy <.<
</script>

var stuff = <?php echo $stuff; ?>;
Assuming though that the entire page, including the script part, runs through PHP.

Too vague for a solid answer.

Umm..
It's about the auto-tagger again >.>

When they advertise their site, they include a link that people can click and visit their Blog Shop.
But there was no way of knowing how many clicks the advertisements were bringing in, they could only estimate =x
So, while they're still guessing, I decided I'm gonna' surprise them xD

So..
Let's say I want to display an alert() with how many hits a site got.
(Of course, I'm not gonna' display the alert, but have another method of showing the hits)

Code:
//Something like this?

var stuff = <?php
			$Connection = mysql_connect('localhost', 'user', 'pass');
			if (!$Connection) {
				echo 'Could Not Connect: ' . mysql_error();
			} else {
				mysql_select_db('database', $Connection);
				$result = mysql_query('SELECT * FROM Visits WHERE BlogShopName = "SomeName" ');
                                echo $result;
			}

			//Always close
			mysql_close($Connection);
?>;

[EDIT]
Wait--
That's wrong =/

Code:
$TEST = mysql_query("SELECT VisitorCount FROM Visits WHERE BlogShopName = 'SomeBlogShop'");
echo $TEST . '<br>';

The result was:
Resource id #6

[EDIT=2]
Ouh, wait--
I got it.
Code:
$ROW = mysql_fetch_array(mysql_query("SELECT * FROM Visits"));
echo $ROW['VisitorCount'] . '<br>';

I forgot to say, in your php file, before you even get to php, you will probably need to put some html, it highlights it. <span style="this will be highlighted too with css highlighting"></span>

It supports:

XHTML
HTML
CSS
Javascript
PHP

I always include this in my php files =x
(Like a template of some sort, I guess)

Code:
<html>
	<head>
		<title>Add a title!</title>
	</head>

	<body>
		<?php
			$Connection = mysql_connect('localhost', 'SomeUsername', 'SomePassword');
			if (!$Connection) {
				echo 'Could Not Connect: ' . mysql_error();
			} else {
				echo 'Success!';
				//Stuff to do
			}

			//Always close
			mysql_close($Connection);

		?>

	</body>
</html>

Thanks!

" echo 'Could Not Connect: ' . mysql_error(); "

It is generally considered bad practice to show all too detailed, and private, error messages to the world at large.
They do not need to know what your tables or columns are called or whatever else may show there, depending on the error.
