The Spell Idea Thread



Forewarning:
I know there's been these threads before but I feel the owners of the threads never kept them updated.
Feel free to bring your ideas from past idea threads to this one and post them.
Inspiration came from Romek's Spell Idea Thread, which I used to post in, a lot.
His idea thread can be found here.
Although do not post in it.
Also, no "Mass" spells.
Eg: Mass Entangle, Mass Hex, Mass Drain, etc.

Oh, and no DotA spells.


Down To Business:
Post your spell ideas here.
All ideas have to be triggered spells.
However, do not post the triggers/map here.
Ideas that stand out will be put into the "Recommended Ideas" list;
Located at the bottom of this thread (Below the normal list) .
If you feel your idea should be on the "Recommended Ideas" list PM me why you think it should be.

Example:

Name: Mass Entangle.
Type: Active, AoE
Targets: Enemies!
Description: Entangles all enemy units in target area. For X seconds, dealing Y Damage. Time and Damage increase with levels.

Description: Gives the hero a chance to miss but each attack has a chance to cause the ground to explode beneath the target, dealing damage and knocking nearby units back.

Name: Blood Thirst
Type: Passive
Targets: Self ?
Description: Every time a unit dies in 500 radius of the hero he goes into a rampage getting more movement speed and more attack speed.
On level 4 the berserker imporves his blood thirst making him have a stronger will to survive, granting him 10% chance to get invisibility if a hero is killed in the radius, but only if the berserker have lower then 30% health.
Bonuses 5/7/10% more attack and movement speed, and the invisibility lasts for 5 seconds.

Name: Inner Hatred
Type: Active
Targets: Enemy Units
Description: The <your hero> gatheres his hatred for his enemies and deals a fatal blow. IT deals 100%/200%/300% of the dmg done to the hero in the past 60 seconds. Cooldown: 120 Mana cost: 300
Extra 1: dmg type is pure
Extra 2: Can't make more then 3 times the strength of the hero multiplied by 10

Name: Arcane Missiles
Type: Target, Channeling
Targets: Enemy, Organic
Description: Channels 3 seconds, firing arcane missiles to a target enemy, each missile deals 2x of the hero's intelligence.
Amount of missiles: 2/3/4/5
Note: you can also turn this into an AoE spell

Name: Storm's Strike
Type: Passive
Targets: Self
Description: enhances the weapon to give a 5/10/15/20% to deal bonus damage equal to 2 times the damage you would do if you had 2/4/6/8% extra point in your primary attribute.
Damage math: (damage + damage gain from 2/4/6/8% of your primary attribute)X2
Cool down: 20/15/10/10 seconds

explanation: is a sort of critical strike with a cool down and only a damage bonus (very basically).
the damage bonus is 2 times the damage you would do with your primary attribute increased by 2/4/6/8%..

I have an agility hero with the following stats:
agility: 60
damage per agility point: 1
level of storm strike: 3 (so it gives an 6% bonus)
base damage(it is the damage without the slices and dices applied): 10

the formula for the damage increase when my hero has 6% more agility
(current agility /100)*6
(60/100)*6= 3,6
3,6 extra agility points is equal to 3,6 extra damage

so my hero would do a total of 63,6 damage if it had his agility increased by 6%.

now I only need to multiply it which 2 to get my total bonus damage:
2X63.6=127.2 damage

Description: Strikes an enemy with lightning and makes the earth trembling, shooting out impales from the unit.
Damage: Lightning: 100/200/300 - Impale: 50/100/150
Stun: 1/2/3 seconds

Description:
By absorbing the essence of the heaven, the <your hero> gains the power to overpower your enemies by suprise!
Extra 1:
Absorbing lightning essence and turns them into seals that spining around <your hero> every 5 second. stackable up to 5 times
Target aoe spell:
damage and aoe incresses per level by 50 area of a base of 200 and damage for each seal incresses by 10 on a base if 30.
CD: 5 sec

Name: Water Vortex
Type: Active AoE target / instant
Targets: Enemy, ground / air
Description: Water binds inwards at the location bringing enemy units with it, after it forces it self upwards (parabola), sending enemy units fly high!
Extra 1: Use NagaDeath model :)

Name: Flame Dance
Type: Active, Around triggering unit
Targets: Enemies that stray to close to the caster
Description Makes X amount of fireballs (that have permenant immoltaion) come out and circle the unit for Y time, while shooting fireballs outward.
Damage: Fireballs: Permenant Immo.: 20/30/40 a second -
Shooting Fireballs:10/20/30
Amount of circling fireballs: 1/2/3/4
Time: 10 Seconds
Cooldown: 30 Seconds
Extra 1: The outward fireballs are Pheonix Fire.
Extra 2: Make the actual incircling ones red wisps.

Description: Prevent all communication between enemy players for a duration. That means, no sharing of gold, no sharing of control, no vision sharing, and no talking.
Extra 1: Might be hard to code.

Name: Camera Break
Type: Instant
Targets: Enemy Players
Description: Breaks a target enemy units camera, fade filter for a certain player, either completely black, or a smashed screen, you can still control your hero... but how hard would it be.

Name: Soul Trade
Type: Instant
Targets: Everyone
Description: Trades your hero with a target hero for a set duration, so player 1 hero change with player 6, etc.
Extra 1: Good for AoS, could be hard to code.
Extra 2: Ever got Jirachi (or was it Manaphy) in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, what it does, pause game and all the hearts move around.
