Guys. This happens to me when i load up RoC and tFt. When I try logging into battle.net, it says the patch was successfully installed, and i press restart like the game says, and after I do, "There was an error applying the upgrade". I have already tried reinstalling both games, and restarting my computer. Also, I noticed that when I download the patch from blizzards site, when I try to install it, it says I am missing [2]TerenasStand.w3x , game.dll , storm.dll , war3.exe . It seems like I am missing a lot of the game, even though I clearly installed it with CD's. I was hoping that a moderator or someone could PM me these files or otherwise post them here/email them to me at [email protected] . Thanks for your time.

This happend to me. While this was for patch 1.17, it should still apply. I was getting an error because it was one of my maps didn't exist.

Please follow the instructions below to fully uninstall and reinstall
Warcraft III.

Use the Warcraft III Uninstaller (click on "Start", "Programs",
"Warcraft III", "Warcraft III Uninstall"). If you want to save your character
profiles or saved games, copy the "Save" folder from your Warcraft III
folder to another folder on your hard drive for safe keeping. When the
game is reinstalled you can copy the folder back to the Warcraft III
folder.

Now go into the directory where Warcraft III was previously installed
and see if the "Warcraft III" folder is still listed... if it is, then
right-click on it and delete it.

Now, run a thorough scandisk and defrag of your hard drive(s). You
will probably find it helpful to disable your screen saver and power
management features before you scandisk or defrag. Sometimes Windows will
restart the defragmentation and/or scandisk if your screen saver or
power management kicks in.
* Open My Computer, and select the local disk you want to check.
* On the File menu, clickProperties.
* Click the Tools tab.
* Under Error-checking, click Check Now.
* Under Check disk options, select the Scan for and attempt recovery of
bad sectors check box andtheautomatically fix file system errors box.
* Select yes to schedule after restart if a dialog box comes up
prompting you to do so.
* Restart your computer

* Open My Computer, and select the local disk you want to check.
* On the File menu, click Properties.
* Click the Tools tab.
* Under Defragmentation, click Defragment now.
* Select volume to Defragment.
* Click Defragment.

The last step is to empty your "Recycle Bin" if it contains filesl and
RESTART your computer. After your computer restarted and loads up,
install Warcraft III.

Now download the latest patch from our patches page at
(http://www.blizzard.com/patches)

This came from an email from Blizzard.
Hope it helps.
