You can buy it now. The Atari VCS. At Microcenter or Best Buy in the stores and maybe Gamestop soon and of course from Atari itself online. Problem is that is super high priced. Way over priced imho. There are like 11k backers that have VCS units and the new stock will increase that but the Ouya sold 200k and is considered in History a failure. 399 Us Dollars a unit is too much even with 2 controllers. If Atari wants to sell this they are going to have to either lower the price or give more for what they are charging (more games). Maybe also make some hype for it. Right now there is nothing except for nostalgia driving this.

I wonder if the new Steam Deck is going to stunt sales of the VCS. Will be interesting to see how things go.

I don't know but the Steam is more powerful than the VCS and has more games. Atari is going the Exclusive titles route and going to actually support the VCS now and I think there is room for more than one player in this space.
