Challenge #1 - The Battle for Gradford (September 25th, 19XX)
The Year is 19XX: In the Isolated reaches of the Pacific Ocean, the island of Writian, has experienced nearly two weeks of disarray as the two super powers that tried to control the strategic island have declared war on one enough. The Freelancer Federation and The United Dramatist Union broke out into violence, declaring war on each other thirteen days ago. Both are equally powerful in manpower and guns, so it will require creative tactics for one nation to conquer the other and whoever is the deviceful of them all, will remain dominate over the Island.
So who will win? Only Time can Tell...
The Game
Writer's War is a sort of Tournament, or competition where two teams of three to five writers (to start at least) battle each other out in different challenges every one to six weeks (Depending on the difficulty and degree of the previous Challenge.) The Team of Writers can choice to work as a collaboration, where two or more of them works on the challenge, or the team can take turn assigning one of their writers on the team to create and submit a work for the challenge by the deadline.

Judging
Judging will not be done by any judge, instead a public poll when the challenge is completed, will be placed in the Writer's Corner, and will be opened for one week and which ever team maintains the highest number of votes will win all the points for that Challenge. (The entries will not be labeled inside the voting till after the winner has already been decided.)Victory/Defeat
When a team wins a challenge over the other team, the losing team will unconditionally forfeit the number of squares and points that challenge offered to the winning team. Certain Challenges, will also contain rewards within them allowing for special advantages or more points to be gained in later challenges.The Game itself will be over, when ether every square of territory from the one of the teams is lost, or the capital (not yet marked on the map) of that team has been conquered by the other.
Basic Rules of War
The simple and general rules of the game so that everything goes through smoothly. - Players can not use prepublished work, from themselves or from anyone else, for submissions.
- Players are not allowed to vote in the public polls.
- Players are not to reveal their entries to anyone, public or privately outside of their own team.
Players and Score Board
Ranks
Ranks are a measure of individual points a player has gained for his/her team. When a person works on a writing and submits his/her name in it the points will go to that person, if it is a collab the points will be divide (if possible) between the number of people involved.
