Pretty... :3

You get the idea how epic it can be. Making this kind of stuff is lot more advanced and powerful/better/easier then in WE.

The transition part just makes this so... Awesome :D

I used the char tileset btw

every tileset seems to have a tile PERFECT for mountains or cliffs like these for stuff like this.

Well, what i hate about sc2 editor is that cliffs take 2x more space than in wc3. That is why i am unable to move my wc3 vampirism map overthere.

You mean in filesize? If not, I made these cliffs a bit too huge imo, the scaling when terraining is hard to judge sometimes. And the brush size range and shape is pretty wide in variety.

if you create a single cliff somewhere, unit can go and stay in there. On single one in wc3 nothing would...

Do you have a solution for units seeing up these "cliffs"? This is the only problem I have with this approach to cliffs (excluding space platform and urban tilesets, where normal cliffs just look awesome).

I'd say mass sight blocker doodads are the way to go. That, or finding a way to limit unit's sight radius vertically. Either way, it seems to be a lot of work due.

Mass vision blockers also effect looking down pseudo-cliffs, as they are technically on the same cliff level and cannot see over them. Another problem is cliffwalkers/jumpers not being able to scale pseudo-cliffs. For the time being, I'm going to stick to my resentment of the 2-bit cliff level limit. Makes you wonder what Blizz were thinking, bringing cliffs back to the SC1 limit (one up, one down, one unpathable) in a game with two units based around scaling cliffs.

btw. is it possible for a unit to go down the cliff only? so like a system that emulates a physic system in which you can fall down but dont jump up^^

You can change this now in User CP.

Good work, but there are some weird rectangles on the cliff at the center and right side of the picture. Maybe you should check up the word "Moire effect" on wikipedia and texture after this principle.

That is what I am talking about. Because of cliff size it is impossible for me to move my Vampirism Map to Sc2. That is also why I am not going to purchase it.

bcos units won't move that fast, as due to double size cliffs my map from 128x128 will have to get to 256x256. Even if size is increased this won't fix movement speed issue. Game over.

Do you know you can modify cliff in the data editor? you can completely change their scale, you can have cliff with height to the knees of the units and it will be still working as cliffs with all the pathing and sight things. I've just tried it out, and it just have some ploblem with texture on it, you will probably have to paint the textures on it with brush tool...
Don't give up so soon, there are still things and posibilities within the editor that people don't know or understand yet... especially in the data editor, its so complex, that most ppl dont even bother with learning how to use it...

Change the collision of the unit, and just because of that tiny little fault, doesnt mean you shouldn't get the game >.>

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
