WC3 will die after SC2 ?

The objective of this thread is for me to know if it's better to stop my AOS now and re-create it in starcraft, or I can continue doing it because people will play.

people won't stop playing WC3 any time soon - plenty of people still play the original starcraft and WC2

that, and it would "only" take about half as much work to re-create it for SC2 then to make it from scratch

or maybe you can ask a friend for the beta galaxy editor, since you don't need a beta key to use just that

Well I already stopped playing WC3 long time ago, not done with the Warcraft Universe but with WC3, sadly yes.

Of course, you need to be careful with statistics. The TH wc3 community is hardly representative of the overall wc3 community.

Still, I would expect there to be SOME activity on wc3 after sc2 comes out. Heck, I probably won't be able to play sc2 period until I get a new laptop (Going to college means you appreciate inheriting a weak 2006 compy intended for office work).

Nah,probably here in the Philippines,Defense of the Ancient's is a popular game,and i think some local computer shops here wont be adding SC2 to their computer's.....plus the Official shops are expensive(50 php per hour)unlike local one's(20 php per hour)...........

here in Brazil is the same, a lot of people will continue with WC3 because good computers are expencive for 60% of the population.

I'm thinking of leaving blizzard, war3 is outdated and nobody plays it anymore so you get a distinct empty feeling when you how few people are are b.net, and sc2 sounds bad, the fact that not anything is possible with a sci-fi universe doesn't help.

I agree with you, Im a medieval fan also!

lord of the rings > star wars

medieval is cooler.

I can wait for warcraft 4 (maybe in 6 years...blizzard is kind lazy)
