A new type of nano-structured glass can bounce water and dirt off its surface, cleaning itself and preventing fogging, according to MIT researchers. It eliminates glare, too, allowing light to penetrate with pure clarity. It could be used for anything from solar panels to future car windshields to new gadget screens.

Not surprised about this, actually. Pretty sure we posted an article on it, but people have developed materials that completely repel water and plan to "spray" it on shoes and whatnot. There are videos of people stepping into huge puddles and walking out of it with their shoes completely dry. Good idea to apply it to glass!

I guess it's very easy to inhale the nano particles which I think could be really dangerous.

Well, maybe not a good idea after all. :( It seems it's very dangerous for the lungs.

I liked how water drops bounce like rubber balls.
