I have a drop down menu and a list of songs. The problem is that I don't know how to send the song they choose to an external MP3 that isnt on the computer, but is connected to it through the sound card. I can't figure out how to do this in JS. So how can I do this?

Choose a song from a website, that song plays on an external MP3 player that is connected to the computer's sound card. I need it this way bc my teacher has a harddrive speaker system where the music that is being played by the mp3 player (no sound comes from the mp3) it plays off the harddrives (which is where the sound comes from) xD

computer = server

If its on the server, just put it in the directory that is set as the website one.

Thats as much as I got, sorry. I don't really understand what you want.

Lol, I understand its confusing
I don't even think what I want is possible... :(

Drop Down Menu on Site ---> triggers Script to make external MP3 Player (Connected via sound card) play picked song (in variable array and using onchange="" event) which would play the sound from the microphone near the mp3 player and show the harddrives playing.

You have to be here to understand... I guess.

You could use PHP, and fsocksopen, and then make a TCP server on the computer, that knows how to use the MP3 players Interface...

Thats the only way, though.

EDIT:
If the files are ON THE COMPUTER, It would be fairly easy, and I would be willing to make a program to run it, but I can't do it if its on an MP3 player. :)

Yes, the files are on the server and not the MP3

JS can be used with the file:// protocol, i guess... Say, if the files are in "c:/music/", you could use "file://c:/music/song.mp3" in some way... Maybe as bgmusic on the page?
Sorry if i misunderstood you!

Off topic, what language would you use DDRtists?

I will be using the recorded music that is near the harddrives as background music, but I want the song to play through the external MP3 Player

Does the server have PHP?

Yes, It's WAMP xD

I still don't get want your asking. :p

"Does the MP3 player support TCP?"
"Have you added TCP support to the MP3 Player?"

Maybe I'm just stupid.

How do you suppose, that the mp3 player can use tcp?
I'm starting to think this isn't your intentions, so I can somewhat guess the answer...

Haha, I would make the TCP server open up a winamp or WMP window, playing the sound. ;)

Because he said from the internet, I believe, therefor you would have to tell the server some how, and that how being from PHP --> the TCP server. ;P
