Spell Contest II: Speed​

The purpose of this contest is to challenge contestants on a specific theme. The contest is also a show case of skill. Everyone may join.

Prize:​

• The winner of this contest gets reputation points from me(and whomever else wants to).

Spell Rules:​

• You can use use JASS and/or GUI , and ALL of your spell coding must be written by you(Systems are ok, but no caster systems).
• The spell you enter must be new and made specially for this contest.
• Imported models are allowed.
• Spell does not need to be triggered.
• Your spell must follow theme.
• Do not directly ask how to make a spell on the forums.

Thread Rules:​

• No bashing.
• Off-site links are okay.
• No talk of grading will be allowed in this thread.
• No stupid remarks.
• No comments that just consist of praise for a spell like: "WOW YOUR SPELL IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!"
• Also do not write "Can I marry you?"

Theme:​

• This contest's theme is Speed that means you can do any thing with any defination of speed. That means you can even do the drug speed but if you use a definition that is not about agility you must post what definition it is under.
• Definition: Speed generally involes a change in speed by the caster or target but can be anyone you want.

Deadline:​

• The session ends 16 days from now, that means on the 8th of June.

Spell: Elite Spark​

Description: This spell increases the hero's movement speed making him attack in amazing speed
confusing and terrifying his enemies and not letting anyone in range to escape, Deals 100 damage on each strike and has 30 second duration.

Level 1 - attacking enemies within 500 range in Elite Speed, has 100 second cooldown and cost 200 Mana.
Level 2 - attacking enemies within 1000 range in Ultimate Speed, has 150 second cooldown and cost 350 Mana.
Level 3 - attacking enemies within 1500 range in Monstrous Speed, has 200 second cooldown and cost 500 Mana.

it was kinda hard to catch a screenshot of it as being in the speed theme so i don't think u can get anything from the screenshot but u should try and check the spell.

Blink Throw​

The caster throws around units in a range of 500/600/700 doing 50/100/150 damage.
[Screenie Not Needed, Spell Is To Fast].
No cooldown given, no constants used.

Phase Swap​

Brings the Hero into a state of physical and mental agility. Increases the movement speed of the hero, increases his attack speed. When a unit attacks him, he will immediately teleport to a random point around the attacker, evading the enemy unit's attack. Also deals 50 damage to the attacker.

Teleports the unit when the attacker is melee.

Once enemy units attack the hero, the hero will never stop until the spell ends or when there are no more melee attackers attacking the hero ofcourse.

Comes up with two levels, increases both attack and movement speed.

Level 1 increases speed by 25%
Level 2 increases speed by 50%

The spell is really cool when many attackers attack you. It's running fast, so not one image can show the full effect, just try!!

I have made 2 spells.
They combinice each other.

Troll spells
Troll Axe Frenzy
Gives a chance to deal extra damage, a chance to slow target and a chance to deal splash damage. With each spell you use you also get additional a chance for one ghosty double.
Troll Frenzy
Causes this unit to attack faster and give it a chance during troll frenzy to double.

Double deals damage. Also if you double you will get teleported to another enemy unit too.

You make additional bonus damage with each hit from troll frenzy.You have a maximum of 104 bonus attack damage with troll frenzy. ( +99 attacks )

Effect ends if one of the doubles die or after the normal effect time.

I expect is mainly because uareanoobs jass knowlegde is limited, but also it eliminates the gab between jass and gui users. Anybody has a chance to win.

Lol. Naw, there's a spell contest going on at Wc3C right now. I just love contests, that's all.


I really feel there should be a coding grade (and I know why there isn't). The reason I join contests is not to show off how I can combine special effects or how I can write a description of my spell— it's to show off how I can code!

There is no Grading for coding...... and there is no "additional" points only the ones on the layout.

Why are you allowing non-triggered spells? Someone can just make a bash or something and call it speed hit or something like that

Pretty much the caster slows down everyone on the map and speeds up himself, and by slowing everyone on the map I mean animation speed, move speed, attack speed, speed speed...
When he speeds up himself he gets 2x animation speed, 2x move speed, 2x attack speed...
Well maybe less than 2x unless this is an ultimate, but I'm assuming this contest has to be normal abilities, so it needs to be more levelable.
ANYWAYS, that be my idea (will be polished n stuff, I just thought of it like 10 minutes ago on the way home from school xD)
