Thanks for the extensive feedback--admittedly some of it is over my head, but I'm working through it.
Yeah, the "system" is only for three heroes, not all of them. I replace them upon revival because their resurrection takes them to a previously-inaccessible part of the map where they need...
Hello again, all!
In my map, I have four regions set up; two of them are set up to be revive points for fallen heroes. One of them is a "leave region" thing, the last one is supposed to be a waygate transport point.
Everything behaves exactly as it is supposed to, until I add the waygate...
This sort of thing is way beyond the scope of what I set out to do; at this point I'm wondering if it's even possible to do, and if it is possible, just how hard would it be?
Scenario:
Schmedric the Archmage (computer Hero) has been confined within indistructable walls. The only way to get...
M'kay...I've got some of it to work, which is great--the chaos was a swell idea. I think my trouble is with regions. For some reason, they aren't doing what their supposed to. I started experimenting with them, and I think I'm doing something wrong. Just as a test, I tried to add "Heavy Rain" to...
Wow! That's some thorough triggering for sure! Now I don't feel so bad about not figuring it out on my own.
Thank you a bunch! I'll work on it and see if I can't duplicate it on my end. I'll letcha know how it turns out.
I appreciate you being so specific too--I'm too new to the whole...
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
M'kay, I've been agonizing over this for two days, and either it can't be done, or, more than likely, it just requires someone who knows what they're doing.
I've created ArthasX--a beefed up, leveled up version of Arthas. The game starts with...
Yeah, I'm a little confused myself. Thanks for offering to take a look at this debacle for me though. I'm gonna try to tweak a few things (move the gold mines, creeps, etc..,) and play the map for a bit to give it time. If the problem is still there, I'll definately upload it.
I'm hoping I...
Okay, I got it to work--much obliged!
Now I'm assuming that to get the ensnare effect to actually work (making unit immobile) would be much more complicated, right? ...If so, it's all good. I was primarily looking for the visual, although it is weird to see someone walking around with a net...
Thanks for the questions canons200!
I wanted a non-melee map, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to add the AI myself. For some reason, without the "Melee AI", the enemy wasn't doing anything. Units, workers, and heroes just stood around. I thought I would then need to create a whole AI program...
Is there a way to show a model as ensnared without having to actually ensnare it? --In one of the campaigns, some villagers are ensnared before being sacrificed, and I was wondering if it's possible to create that buff or look on a character without having a unit actually cast it.
Thanks!
Yes indeed, I had that set correctly.
In experiementing last night, I discovered that the Undead don't do squat unless I start them with a haunted graveyard instead of a regular graveyard for some reason. I'm not sure yet how that will effect their expansion later on, but maybe I'll figure...
