try making your own operators (+ = == << etc. for a class) like say you have a class for "distance" that has "feet" "inches" and "miles" and you can do like distance1 = distance2 + distance3 /etc.

The mac version doesn't work with any third party programs that I know of.
I may, Macs come with free software that encourages Objective-C and works with it, so...
