You could try replacing the unit with another one if its type then transfer the items and xp.

Well you could just make a trigger that makes the attack damage 0

I think in vampirism beast they have something that attacks 5x times but the animation only works once

I've played tree tag revolution, I nodiced that the Tornado was an entity try editing its speed or you could use a trigger that summons a unit "Tornado" then kills it after an ammount of time.

You could try re-writing the spell that could help.

I've managed to make sure on one knows what map is about. Rage - Hero's health is decrease and so is it's armour but its damage is increase by %20 and attack speed by %100
