    Problem with a variable

I have an integer variable called "AInteger". After I used it on couple of triggers, I suddenly cannot choose it from the variable list. When I click and existing action using the variable, there is just an empty space where the variable should be. Worst of all, when I try to re-create the...

    Admin rights in windows 7

Well the TrustedInstaller wasn't a virus, but a part of the operating system. I fixed the problem by enabling the admin account and using it to give full control to my own account. Thanks for the replies though!

    Admin rights in windows 7

I think the problem is that I'm not an administrator for some reason. I'm the only user of the computer and it only has one account, even the basic admin account is disabled. I can't even run the command prompt in admin mode so I could try that to gain the access to files..

    Admin rights in windows 7

A simple question: what is the simplest way of getting full administrator rights and total control in windows 7? Right now some asshole called TrustedInstaller is challenging me and blocking me from what is rightfully mine. I can't even install some programs because all the folders belong to him.

    Computer won't boot

I have asus P5Q-E, though that probably doesn't tell you anything. The heating mosfet is the one between two PCI-e ports. Anyways, is there no reliable way of checking whether it is CPU or motherboard that is failing?

    Computer won't boot

I have both the 24-pin ATX cable and the 8-pin thing for CPU plugged in, the motherboard manual said that it won't boot unless both of them are connected. I have tried two different RAMs in all slots, but I doubt that is the problem since it won't even beep. When the PSU is switched on, the...

    Computer won't boot

I just tested with another PSU that should work, and I still have same problem. Now it's either CPU or motherboard. Motherboard does absolutely nothing, and when I turn PSU on a little chip between two PCI-e slots gets really hot. Is it likely that my motherboard is the source of the problem?

    Computer won't boot

I just finished building my computer, and now the damn motherboard won't boot. When I turn on the PSU the red light on start button starts burning, but when I press it nothing happens. Could this be PSU's fault? I have some fans directly connected to it, but they will never run. Should they?

    How many fans are needed?

Thanks for your reply, again. I don't have my RAM yet so I could boot the system and test fans and stuff like that out, but I don't want anything to blow up on the first try either. About the cooler, I found out that it's Scythe Ninja or something like that. Here is a picture of it: I was...

    Problem with RAM

I have a big ass CPU cooler that is taking the space for first RAM slot, A1. My other three slots in the order are A2, B1, B2. I know I have to use dual channel and install the pair of RAMS to the slots with same numbers. Now the question; Does it matter if I leave A1 and B1 empty and only use...

    How many fans are needed?

Well, I think the CPU fan is uncontrollable and always running at max speed, since it has only 3-pin connector when motherboard has 4-pins. Anyways I just moved the fan to the other side of the heatsink - it's still blowing to same direction, there is just more space between it and the exhaust...

    Choosing the right cable

Thanks, I was just confused about the DVI-I. I was in the shop already when I created this thread so I couldn't buy the cable you recommended, but I will remember it next time ^^

    Choosing the right cable

My graphics card has Dual Link DVI-I slot and my monitor has DVI-D. Should I buy a Dual Link DVI-D cable to connect them?

    How many fans are needed?

Thanks for the detailed reply, that cleared most of the things. However, I'm still thinking about pointing the cooling fan towards the rear fan. There is only 1cm (0.4 inch) gab between those two 120mm fans, could they possible affect each other so that they would spin faster than they should...

    How many fans are needed?

The 3-pin is wrong counterpart, but otherwise the cooler's cables look like this picture: It has two 4-pin things in same cable and one 3-pin thing without pins (the motherboard has its counterpart with pins) And now I noticed that where it read "CPU FAN" in motherboard there is actually a...
