These look incredible. :D

These questions raise so many questions though. There seems to be quite an emphasis on Kerrigan in the campaign; I wonder if there'll be heroes in multiplayer?

Delicious. I hope it'll be better than WoL.

I wonder if there'll be heroes in multiplayer?

Nah, there won't. Blizz said they're decidedly against it.
In single player it looks different. Kerrigan is now supposed to appear in almost every mission as a playable hero. That's why you can also level her up.

Most likely not. I doubt that blizzard will change any key element of the melee games. Hopefully we will get some new toys to play with.

Omfg hurry please!
Jizz is everywhere

I agree, the trailer looks amazing, but I doubt that they will release it in the next year or so. Blizzard have mentioned that there will be a ~18 month difference between each expansion, SCII came out in august (iirc)

I dont know, i am not feeling really comfortable with how starcraft is evolving.
Its somehow using the good old "RTS" touch. I cant say for sure but the WoL campaign didnt catch me at all. there wasnt any mission i would call a complete success and only few missions i liked.
Have to say the WC3 TfT campaign was alot better in my opinion.

> I'm sort of the other opinion. I feel the SC2 campaign was more based upon game mechanics than pushing through base after base like in wc3. I like the more action-feel over the constant build and fight campaign.
I agree. Though the SC2 storyline/lore sucks [del]compared to the WC3 one[/del] entirely, the missions are still fun to play.

Its not pushing from one base to the other which i miss, in this matter you are right, but for me the missions of starcraft 2 are simply boring.

Remember those missions in frozen throne where you had to secure the bloodelves throughout the forests in lordaeron or the first missions of the "human" campaign.
the missions consisted of "more" then 1 objective.

in starcraft 2 you start every mission with a (more or less) build up base, you have already a sufficient amount of units to run through the whole map (on moderate or normal difficulty) and clean everything up. and in each and every mission you get another unit which is useful in this mission and (most of the time) ONLY in this mission, all you have to do is mass this new unit type and run through the map.
well, until you get battlecruisers and thors, macro game is a joke in the campaign.

what i would like to see are missions which evolve over time, you start of with some marines, have to clean out the first few bases, maybe rescue some reinforcements, get to the base, fight for some minerals and build up an army.
(missions like these were present in the WoL campaign but only few and not very well executed in my opinion)
and maybe there was too little surprise in the missions, everything was so obvious and easy and simple.

I disagree- the WoL level design was one of the most advanced and deep made to this date.

Thing is, wc3 combined the badass heroes (Like Arthas <3) epic battles, and just fun gameplay.

Just for the record- I prefer the wc3 missions.

SC2 WoL = Excellent mission gameplay, appalling story.

Q: How much will Heart of the Swarm cost?

A: We typically don't provide details about pricing until the game is closer to release. We do view Heart of the Swarm as an expansion set, so for the regions that have a standard box business model such as North America and Europe, we will price accordingly. For other regions that have alternative business models, we’ll provide details at a later date.

(For clarification, two expansions are planned for Starcraft 2. The first being Heart of the Swarm (Zerg Campaign – Abbreviated HotS) and the second being Legacy of the Void (Protoss Campaign – Abbreviated LotV))

You want one for free? It's like at least 1 year of work for them to get it out. They're not a charity organization.

as long as they are ~40$ it is Okay. It'd suck ass if they force you to pay the full price for expansions.

Global business rule #4:
- Price is whatever your customers are willing to pay

Hence, for example, the 1:1 conversion rate from $ to €... damn business...

Anyone else want to see Stetmann make a comeback in the Evolution Chamber? He'd feel right at home :p
