Why Just Run?

Wow, thats less money then I make.

I get over 400 dollars a month for going to school (university), with a maximum of six-or-so years

but when you're at boot camp you don't really need much money, do you?

Israel is the only country I know of with female conscriptions.
My friend was stuck in the military for a while, but she got very good recommendations to every university ever, so it isn't a bad trade-off.

I still can't fathom how mindblowing this is. And it really does sound fiction...

I would get money too, but I choose not to.
I find it wrong to take money from the state just for going to university. Especially since I already get free public transportation, health insurance, pension and cheaper entrance into movie theaters, the opera, etc.

Well now I live like a bum. But to be honest, I dont value money at all. I am quite happy where I am...

Besides, its a little bit more complicated with that money.
You only get it for 3 years because after 3 years you should be finished with your bachelor.
And you have to finish a certain number of courses successfully ever semester.
And you have to pay the money back some day, but without any interest. You pay it back 1 to 1.
If you are lucky you even pay back less...

Why don't you just move to Canada like we're all going to do?

It's called a student tuition loan (or something similar or related to it). I know a classmate who's into business used a lot of his student loan credits to buy some shares. Once he realized he's making a profit (actually, 3x the amount of student loans he had accumulated), he sold the shares, and paid off the loans, 1:1.

That's what I'm given. If I needed i could get about 1000 dollars extra in state financed loans, with very little interest. Besides, college is not really full time, so I could get a job as well if I needed.
