Okay, this is driving me crazy. When I try to introduce text, in Photoshop, the text is soooooooooooo small that almost can't be seen. On a 1000x1000 picture, the text has about a pixel (but the size is set to 72) on a 20x20 the text becames even smaller, like 0.01 pixel. WTF?!?! I tried different fonts... the same problem :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Please, coould someone help me? Thanks in advance.

instead of selecting the test with the drop down menu, try typeing your own number in.

Weird thing...it seems that the font size doesn't affect this at all... the maximum size is 200. I typed this and the size it's the same as 72 =/

For Photoshop 6 and up.

1. press the "v" button
2. click the text layer in the layer tab
3. press the "t" button
4. from the drop down menu at the top and while the layer is selected, change the size.

If this doesn't work.

1. click the text layer in the layer tab
2. highlight the text with your mouse.
3. from the drop down menu at the top and while the text is selected, change the size.

here are some possibilities:

1. You didn't have the text layer selected.
2. You didn't have the text highlighted.
3. You had the Auto Select Layer box checked and clicked off the text.

other resizing methods:

If you have the layer selected and the little box shows up around the layer, you can resize the layer without distortion a couple of ways.

1 press the "shift" key.
2 select a corner of the layer (where the little corner box is shown on the layer)
3. with your mouse on the corner, and while pressing the shift key, drag the corner in or out.

OR

1 press the "shift" and "alt" keys at the same time.
2 select a corner of the layer (where the little corner box is shown on the layer)
3. with your mouse on the corner, and while pressing the shift and alt keys, drag the corner in or out.

The first example resizes the text/layer from one corner to smaller or larger.
The second example resizes the text layer from the center of the layer to smaller or larger.

cheers! :D

For anyone searching an answer to this 7-year old question, my problem actually came from the Photoshop resolution option. Usually it's 72 pixels / inch, but sometimes it changed itself to something like 300 pixels / inch.

Not sure what exactly happened at the moment of this exact question, but later appearances of this issues determined this was the cause :).
