is there any way to make it so that when a hero casts a certain spell that his attributes will increase? i have created multiple casting ability triggers, but nothing seems to work... can anybody help me?

is there any way to make the different attributes (str, agi, int) do different things? for instance, i want int to read "defense" instead and have it affect the hero's armor, and have nothing to do with mana at all. is it possible to do any of these things?
is it possible to make an item decrease attack speed, but be passive and only used on the item wielder? similar to gloves of haste, except instead of gaining attack speed you lose it. is it possible to do this?
