Just had a genius idea, is this level 100 unit a creep? for if so just set creeps exp to zero (in gameplay constraints). then simply add it via triggers.

Do you want it to work for ALL units? for that can be changed in gameplay constraints also. If you only want it for 1 players units...
had a quick look my thoughts:
I could not get it to work on "spawned" creeps. IMO this is because they belong to a player, not a neutral creep.
The reason why the neutral hostiles are getting permastunned i'm not sure as i dont really understand the spell too much. I did notice a few things...

Easiest way to change experience is by object editor.
Experience based on the killed units level. Also in gameplay constraints the amount of experience given by creeps (neutral hostile) can be changed, as creep usually give less exp...
make an item only a ranger can pick up, dump them all over the map, when the item is picked up remove it from inventory and award exp.
Shouldn't be too hard to trigger, can even make it so that you dont even need to pick them up, when you get in range of these items, they destroy themselves...
was told but someone who tested it how to change the map's units to current version. So now frost wyrms are dealing magic damage and not piercing lol and shops are selling the right items.
Also fixed the tavern units so they are getting convert to tome again.
Added convert to gold, not yet...
been rather busy so havent had much of a look. Looks a lot harder than first thought to implement a new creep system into it. Still looking into it though, for i reckon it'll help it make it a lot more interesting than just kobolds running around.

I basically have this. apart from that it's owned by any player, a small problem is some of the regions arn't big enough.
If it's gold mine creeps, then that's already solved. Creeps simply don't respawn at gold mines ;)

what unit is it? have you changed anything else about the unit? i.e have you changed the size?
does it still happen if you change which unit it's used on?

why arn't u just using the dark orb, and working it from there?
for the dark orb produces skeles for range or melee, so imo use the ability that uses, turn it into a hero ability instead of an item abillity, give it to MK.

A simple way to make sure you cannot send gold/wood to each other is to simply set the send gold/wood levels to 0 in gameplay constrants.
So along the top select advanced, then -> gameplay constants, Ally trading control click = 0, ally trading normal click = 0.
