No i can't do that u see. Because the whole point here is that the unit can change the number of weapons(and types too) it holds at any time. So it won't be just 6.
Example:
Unit A has the following weapons:
3xLasers
2xMachine Guns
2xMissiles
He activates an ability which changes his weapons...
Hi, i'm having this little problem and i'm not sure whether i've missed out something. Basically what i'm trying to do is give a unit multiple weapons of the same type(let's say, 6 lasers) on different turrets. However, i noticed that when in combat, it only uses ONE of the 6 weapons and not all...
As of this moment the team placement settings for SC2 is abit weird. Firstly, you not only need to adjust the settings from Player Settings/Team Placements, but you must also create a Game Variant for the map. HOWEVER, no matter how you place yourself in the teams during lobby creation, all...
You should also note what they HAVEN'T fixed.
My #1 COMPLAINT: They STILL haven't added a trigger function that counts the charges for an item!!!!! $%$#%$#%#$%#$%#$%#@$@!!!
On a bright note, they've added OTHER trigger functions for items.
EDIT: Additionally, I'm not sure about you guys, but...
Hey for some reason i can't seem to get the Pawn ability for my Item Shop working. Does anyone know of any tutorial that teaches how to get the Pawn ability to work properly?
I beg to differ from your opinion. I think that both have their own strengths and advantages. As far as I can tell, they each are able to do certain things that the other can't, or is more efficient at it. There are still things with Triggers that the Data Editor can't do(e.g. functions, custom...
Thanks. I think if i have time i'll just remake all of them in one go. ><
EDIT: ok i think i just fixed it. I just need to leave the first slot in the Train ability blank. xD
Nah it's ok i solved the problem already. It was a mistake to use Upgrades for learning abilities. Instead i used Arm Magazine as a substitute for "tech purchasing"(which would then require a dummy unit) then used requirements to enable the ability.
That's the same thing as making a normal button. Of course i know that. The thing is despite everything being in order, the queue icons don't appear as they should be.
On second check, I realized that only the FIRST unit in the train list is affected by this bug. Weird.
I'm sorry if this sounds abit noobish, but how do you make an upgrade/research apply to a SPECIFIC unit?
Example: Zealot learns "Charge" ability, but only that specific Zealot can use it. Other zealots must learn the charge ability individually before they can use it.
I have this weird bug here: Whenever i queue units for training in a structure, the icons that appear in the queue slots are different from what its supposed to be(Example: I keep getting "Cancel" button icons for one of my units). Does anyone know what data in the editor affects what icons...
Yea i know it's possible via triggers. But i'll put on-hold on any workarounds until SC2 is FULLY released. I'm not gonna take the trouble to make a workaround if a real system actually exists in SC2, just that the Devs haven't released i yet. =/
INCINERATE: The main reason is that Blizzard hasn't released the Campaign mod for SC2, which contains all hero and item support, if my guess is right.
onisagi: You misunderstand me. The shop is owned by the neutral unit, but i need to find the player that is BUYING from the shop, not the owner...
With the Hangar ability it's possible but it's very limited in certain ways, such as that you can't have different distances at different angles, and ALL spawned units will face the same direction that the main unit is facing when it is MOVING. However, this ability is perfectly suitable for a...
This is kinda off-topic, but have any of you guys tried manipulating the "Add-on Unit" values for a unit? The only drawback i can see from this is that the position/angle of the added-on unit is fixed/limited.
Additionally, the "Hangar" ability also makes a good way of attaching units to...
Lol. In case you didn't know i've already solved the problem, unless you're refering to my current problem of being unable to stop the shop from selling items to a unit with a full inventory.
And i've already explained it to the best i can. It's basically what it is, create a Interact ability...
