300 Review

If youve turned on a TV, gone on the internet, read a newspaper, or have any friends that talk, you have probably heard about the movie 300. I went to see it this weekend dispite the packed theaters. It was well worth it. Everything about the movie was well done. The actors all did a great job and none of them are well known so you cant accosiate the people in the movie with people from other movies (that just a + for me). The story was interesting and well written, but you wont find the highly indepth plots that you might find in other movies that are more plot based(ex- The Departed).The visual effects, like all blockbusters, were WOW. The main 2 things that people have been complaining about in this is that it makes the Persians more evil and it is not completly historically correct. To answer to this, I say that the more evil the Persians look in this the better. The movie is about Spartans trying to protect their homeland. The invader should look evil. It wouldnt make sense if they wernt. Historical Accuracy? I knew about this battle before they started making the movie and I would have to say it is close enough. The only thing historically wise that they should have included is the small number of Greeks that were with the Spartans (they had one extra force in the movie, but that wasnt enough). WARNING: This movie is rated R. Its based off of a battle so there is a lot of violence and gore. Also there is nudity (and not like Troy nudity where you see somebodys butt).

Overall. I thought it was amazing and well worth the money. I'd give it a 9.75/10.

I have heard this was good. Tried to go Sunday but was sold out. Had to go to suck ass Wings and More instead - well it was not that bad. Will see it sometime this week and buy advance on the internet to insure seeing the show. Going to see it on the IMAX.

I had a ticket for this on it's movie debut, last Friday at the movies in the mall. I walk into my job-place, FYE (For Your Entertainment) for the second time (first time was to pick up a check) and guess what?

"Kev, you know you're supposed to work 6-10 tonight?" boss says. Oh hell. No I'm not? I'm supposed to work 5-10 tomorrow night. That's what I have written on my schedule at home. That's what YOU, MARK (boss) told me last week!

I look at schedule. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhugar and snowballs -.- It does say 6-10 on Friday. And I just spent $20 on two tickets for 300... (Me and Krys, my girlfriend)

Krys gets my ticket and gives it to a friend she happens upon. Her, said friend and her best friend who paid for his own ticket go to see the movie. I go to work. Screw you, Mark. I'm not letting you tell me jackcrap about my hours anymore.

Oh, for anyone who asks: No refunds at the movies. You can get a different TIME ticket, availablity allowing, but you may NOT exchange for another DAY. DAMNATION!

In quebec this movie is rated PG 13 as most movies are, despite the many scense of nudity, and bloody sluaghtering of human beings.

I saw it with my amigo the other day and were both 15. I lol'd when I heard someone was 16 and wasn't aloud ot watch . (sneak in? Say your gonna go to anotehr movie and then go to that one! Works all the time with my gf.)

I got to see it for free I didn't have money, and everyone else in my group had pre-ordered tickets. So when they went into the theatre, I just walked in (Celebration usually doesn't have people posted to check tickets).

Anyway, I thought it was the best movie that I've seen this year. The lighting effects were great, the atmosphere was perfect, and the action was packed.

Amazing movie. Definitely worth all the hype. Though the sex scene did feel like a porno.

I saw it twice.

First time in normal theatres. IT WAS GREAT!

Second time: IMAX 3D. I was disapointed because, there was a large IMAX screen, but they cut the size of the film down, so it was like being in a normal theatre (rip off?). Also there were like only select 3D scenes, which was gay. I thought the whole movie would be 3D.

I loved the movie... though during the bloody battle scene my friend and i werw the only ones laughing our butts off.

Saw it. Storyline was bad.
Fighting was awesome.

Although somehow he missed the king from 50 feet away when in the middle of the movie some random spartan blindly threw a spear from the middle of a crowd hitting a messenger from 200 yards away.

Well he'd been fighting for days right, so he was exhausted, and still he only missed the center of his head by what? 3 inches?

The storyline did seem bad in the movie, but probably because they couldnt include all the political and social crap going on back in Sparta which is in the book. (I haven't read it, it's just my assumption)

and Canada = 18A so owned USA we got lower ratings, Clerks two was 14A or PG13 here .
