It's pretty easy write them. Clearly not everyone can understand them. ;)

Yours doesn't have a white-to-color gradient starting from the middle to the outside. Maybe that's it. Also the eyes are shorter compared to the ones in this one , Or the smile size of this one

The shade is used in an alternative way, mixing the style of this, <3, and this, :p, together. I don't think the shade would make the smiley as somewhat different than others. I don't think the eyes should be made to look wider, otherwise it wouldn't fit the Golden Ratio of the face. And, if you're curious, the mouth is neutralized, so that it fits in between a wide one,, and a narrow one,.

I like it. It fits the -.- expression, which I use a lot.

I'm glad that you do. Thank you. :)

The one suggested here... no idea really. What is that thing?

It's a "sweat-drop expression", one of the most widely recognized stereotype motifs of anime.

Yeah, I thought it had an "anime-style" to it.

How often does a person not familiar with anime/manga/whatever use it?

About as much as never. Even anime fans don't actually make that face, its more of a glorified .

I wouldn't think of it that way. is embarrassed.
attachment.php
is being (sort of ) ironic, which is different than being embarrassed.

It's like this:

You're in a conservation about in-jokes and stuffs, and when you heard a friend saying a joke that you didn't get it the first time, then you did later, you would use this expression and say this in an (sort of) irony way: "Oh, right...

"

Is this description okay enough?

The smiley face is used when something is ironic, embarrassing, unexpected, has some humor to it or on a "Not needing to know that basis."

In examples, as you can see here

If the smiley is added then at least the people who like manga can use it easily, what does it matter if other people don't use it as much, it's not like it will inpair on people's ability to write.

so why not add it?

I don't see why there is a big empty block under the emote, It makes it hover about the line, Its not needed and should be cut out.

Are not emote here, I can just treat them as images though. So I can still use them.

@ Anman, I was refering to the one in post 1. Not mine.

I'll wait for an official answer from an administrator.

Thank you again.

Other people won't even understand it. Seriously, it still doesn't make much sense to me.
It would probably pass if the site was focused on anime. Or if it had a large number of people who regularly watch anime. Right now the anime/manga forum has 72 threads while WE Help has 67733 which is about 940 times more (mad calc skillz, I know! :D). Adding a smiley that only a couple of people would understand is not much of a good idea. Not to mention that nothing prevents those few form using the tags.

But I'm not actually capable of adding it (only Ace and TH can do that) so I guess you can't consider this an official answer.

The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
