A model problem!

HI!!!

i was wondering something,when i download a model and do images and textures but the thing is there are no models in it!!! i... would really like it if some one helped me!! it's scary!!!

I'll help you. Ok so what site did you dl the model from, because if you go to wc3sear.ch they have some good models you can dl and the cutom paths you should put when you import the model.

well... the problem is that it dosent have the thing for a model. all it has is textures and images...

well mostly the effects on the models bit.

If you havent already i would check out http://www.world-editor-tutorials.thehelper.net/models.php and see if you can find anything diffrent between what you do and what your supposed to do when importing the model....Just wondering have you tried saving it and reloading the map because that could have something to do with it.

Did you edit the umm whats it called..... Oh, The paths. Look on the page where you dled the model and change the path for the image/texture of the model to the ones specified in a greenish color. To change the path import all the things in the folder you unzipped with the import manager, next click on the image/texture you have to change the path of, a little window should pop up, click on the box next to "custom path" and then you type in what it said on the website in green.

This thing doesnt really have a model. I believe it is an "effect" that you use. Its something that you attach to a unit or space or something. In other words, try using Create Special Effects.

OH THATS WHAT HE WAS ASKING. I was looking at it a different way.

Judging from what it looks like, its not something you can make a unit out of. Besides, why would you want to, unless you want some weird moving black hole, which you could probably do with triggers anyway.

well i get the point. it is an EFFECT and cant be atached to a unit
