WIP A new Hero

The Reflectionist. (Name pending until I find something better)

The map is a normal 8 comps free for all melee map.
You're allied, at random, to one of them.

Shortly after game start, your Hero will spawn in your comp's base.

The objective, if I dare say so, is to help your comp "make it".


And, well, all you have is that one single Hero.
Additionally, he has no Hero abilities

But...
Anyway, it's the best Hero on the map.

That... was... epic

Only Suggestions / Criticism:

-If your hurt by bash / critical strike you should get that ability
-If your within range of an enemy aura you should get the aura.
-I didn't get searing arrows when I was attacked with it
-I learned "Spell Shield" which had no tooltip and is rather useless.
-Why are the first 5 abilities I get always there? Why don't they get switched in and out?

I was teamed with a human. and it doesn't know how to make knights >.<

it sticked to fotmen and riflemen all the way..

although I did stole it's mountain king's storm bolt.

I was hoping to find a Scepter of Divinity in the Random Marketplace..
found none.

btw. was the marketplace triggered?.


we Lost due to the last enemies having tauren warriors and Wyverns fight of against my team mate's Footmen and Rifleman.. which was a horrifyingly terrible.

It keeps a usage count.
And only ever replaces the least used ability.
Or one at random if there's several with the same minimum usage count.

Yes, if you get a basic heal from the nearest Troll Priest, chances are you're pretty much stuck with it for the rest of the game
That's part of the challenge.

Shadow Strike is an ability you can get. Critical not... same for anything else that doesn't trigger an event.

Auras aren't actively cast, and, as such, ignored on a Hero that is heavily Intelligence based.
You're supposed to be busy.

But, that won't happen every game.
Additionally, what the picture does not reveal,
both Healing Wave and Serpent Ward were level 3, and Shockwave level 2.
The Death Coil was a Creep version with single level (from some Revenant IIRC).

well, I don't know how much to ask from the computers, but, they were quite stupid.

my comment on the game? I felt like an observer with blink on the wrong hotkey

In case you didn't get it yet:

The point is not to show a comp using the default melee script...

The point is to show a new Hero.
Along with a map where you can actually try him out.

I haven't tried it yet, but it sure sounds like a really exciting system idea.
I can't play wc3 on the comp I'm on atm, but I look forward to trying it sometime soon :thup:

Well...
Why not Add all Spells you learnt to spell books?
That way, you can actually keep track of what you have learnt

I got Blademaster's Mirror Image, but when i used it i my hero was gone from the game..
Hero Icon still there, but when i clicked it, it would immediately deselect my reflectionist.
