In this map i have been making i have a unit with an ability that summons a portal, which should take it to a different part of the map.
To do this i began by making a new custom unit with Waygate as the base. I then changed the model file to the doodad, shimmering portal. I also changed the ground texture to none; the shadow texture to none; and the pathing map to Circle of Power. Other than its name no other changes.
Next i took the ability Summon Sea Elemental, and changed the unit it summoned to my portal.
To make it work i used this as my trigger:
Portal Ability
Events
Unit - A unit owned by Player 1 (Red) Finishes casting an ability
Conditions
(Ability being cast) Equal to Summon Portal
Actions
Neutral Building - Set (Summoned unit) destination to (Center of Vampire <gen>)
Neutral Building - Enable (Summoned unit)
When i use the ability it summons the portal, but it doesn't teleport my units.
Is there anything i did wrong? or Can you simply not creat a functioning waygate in game?
