A truly humorous map (will anyone help and/or make one?)

This is just a spare thought, but whatever happened to humor? I'd enjoy a nice sarcastic RPG with random, stupid, and punny humor.

So does anyone have any brilliant amusing piece of comedy on their minds? Please post it here, and maybe one of us can make a map out of it, not forgetting to put a long Credits list in the top left corner

(Honestly, I don't understand why "Escaping from Gay Heaven" is supposed to be funny. The camera scene at the end of RoC with the footman and the catapult was quite amusing )

You could make a quest so you have to rescue a princess from an evil villain who stole her away... then when u return her her husband kills her because she actually ran AWAY with the villain........ BAHAHA thats good use of dumb heroes...

Make a SLAPSTICK RPG

where dumb things happen all the time that kill or hurt your hero, the objective is to reach a certain area or bring something back

NONONNO

your a bunch of rag tag heroes who are TOTALLY incompetant at EVERYTHING

and (kinda like the movie RAT RACE) and the higher your levels the worse you get at your abilities. eg

mage casts 'polymorph' but has a chance of polymorphing himself etc

warrior nearly always misses and on rare instance criticals himself

make the revival time low so you can alwasy come back quick but you start at beginning

make it so you can put traps down for other ppl but then at times the traps only target you etc

call it

still not funny is it

Those are a few ideas in mind. Totally useless items that don't do anything. The Animal tooth, which if you use does 1 damage to you after giving you the message "You couldn't think of anything better to do with it, so you pricked your finger with it. Ouch!"

Or the quest for the Old Man's crown. You go all the way to the other side of the kingdom and talk to the Really Old Man who points you to the Really Really Old Man who points you to the Hobo who gives you the crown. You walk all the way back and you find that it was a fake crown and that the Old Man was sitting on his new one. You get a sock for your trouble (description says "What the heck do I do with this? It smells TERRIBLE")

And you can't forget the dumb hero who has a passion for running after beautiful chicks, which ends up with him being chained above a pool of acid when the RRUS (The Really Really Unknown Sidekick) saves the day.

Oh, and you DEFINITELY need the Annoying Musician. While you're off questing in a dungeon all of a sudden he appears and plays his immensely annoying and retarded song. Killing him doesn't work...he'll revive and keep playing it for a straight 2 minutes before disappearing as mysteriously as he came.

I'd rather call it Tail of Inkompehtenz

you could make one of the heroes, one of the 'double units' like sappers or dwarven mortar or ogre etc

they not incompetant but they argue ALL THE TIME so if you move in one direction, the 'other head' will make you move in another direction

as you gain levels you gain the abiloity to control one head or the othre for a very short period of time. So the left head may be better at walking, but the other head may be 'smarter' and have better chance of successful skills.

and when u try to have one head take over u take damage (as in you have to fight your 'other half' to win control) {nutty professor}

ORRRRRRRR

IF you try to get one side of your personality to be dominant you have to fight it
so you create an exact replica of the unit (but creep or somethin) and u fight using the abilites f your chosen head vs the abilites of the other one (scale the battle down so if ur real units has 100 hp u wont ahve to fight it forever)

something like that anyway------------ HEY IM JUST THROWING IN WACKY IDEAS,

And the next thing you know, they fire a random bullet into the forehead of the villain. In the background the people are rejoicing and now the two heads are arguing who killed the villain

LOL - Can't wait tosee what you make with these ideas! They give me a good laugh just seeing ya'll type this, imagine what it'll be when you make it. Instead of having an Animal Tooth which sais that, have it say "You couldn't think of anything better to do with it, so you shoved it up your nose and it poked your brain, ouch!"

I've got a few ideas. One being putting a lady on the map, and when a unit gets near her, make the unit stop, and slowly move up to her. Then make a message saying "Hey baby! Wanna get in the back of my Mustang?". Then the woman "slaps" him knocking back your hero and dealing damage to it.

Few item ideas.

Peice of meat - Slows the caster, saying this message "You sat on your ass and ate the meat, and now you can barely move. Maybe it's time to get a Gym membership, huh?"

Call Shark friend - Calls a shark, which kills your hero saying "Your shark decided he didn't like you so he ate you, you can't even make it with animals, eh?".

People like it when you insult the in a humorous way, use it.

If you want it to be real strange

once you work out ur ideas, start the map spend a little session on it then send it to another person to spend a session on etc etc.

u dont muck up whats been done then when it gets back to you. You edit the stuff to fit what u need then finish it off.

kinda like that primary school exercise where you start writing a story and then pass it around the class to finish, when u get it back....... roflz it hilarious (provided u have given it to the right ppl who dont (&()07 it up with crazy Imba stuff..

By the way, I think it should be made into a campaign. That way, even if nobody else can enjoy it alongside you, it'll be easier to work out (incompetent heroes could annoy the other incompetents to oblivion and everyone leaves) and you can include that funky music.

Sadly, I don't know if MIDIs can be converted to go into Warcraft, but these would make a few music tracks (none of them are what I had in mind for the musician by the way, but rather for some funny scenes like the arguing heads or just plain background).

I like the idea of the side kick coming in and saving the day--- kinda like Biff the understudy in baldurs gate.

yeah the more i think the mroe infuritaingly challenging the 'double' character will be (Think a unit that has shared control and 2 ppl are trying to use t)

Also you could have a REALLY LAZY character..... after moving for a certain period or fighting or something like that he goes to sleep.......

the coward...... who when near enemies has a 'fear effect' which has % chance of running or doing HEAPS less damage
