A very simple question

OK well, I could probably use common sense but in this case, I can't. Well, what happened was I was merrily playing a game, and reached for a coke then BAM! it hit my comp and liqiuid got all inside the computer. It started making weird noises, then it whited out. I was wondering, will a computer that comes in contact with liquid sstill be salvageable? It's not that big of a deal if I can't, as it was a very old computer that I would just like to use to ttransfer things.

General statement.

If it gets wet. And its not on. And you let it DRY OUT before plugging it in, it will most likely be fine.

If its on, and it gets wet, it can fry.

If its pop, it will dry, but forever be sticky.

If its a keyboard, throw it in the dishwasher. Take it out before it dries it with the intense heat. LET IT air dry before plugging it in.

I've 'dish-washed' this keyboard three times now.

If you ruin it, they are 10 dollars. At shows, on ebay, on wholesale sites. I got 4 new dell keyboards 10 bucks each.

I'll just have to wait and see. It was on, and the screen whited out. Thanks a bunch Ryoko, this makes me feel better knowing it might be ok. I don't think it's totally fried, as the light still is on when I press the button and when it went out, it didn't smoke or anything. Ahh there might be hope left for my poor, old computer.
