Perhaps Arthas' corruption started when he was denied the right to purge a village of undeath, or when he took up Frostmourne. There is one fact that is clear from all the others; Arthas' power is immense and growing rapidly. His unimaginable power has sinked into the wounds of the world, calling any weak mind willing to listen.
The Frozen Throne, a giant pillar of ice that protrudes from the ground at the peak of Northrend stands stout, with the courtyard constantly full of menacing beasts and dreadful warlocks. Little trees lined the courtyard and undeath flew through the wind like a leaf. A window was crafted at the peek of the throne for the Lich King to see his vast army of undeath. The 'window' decorated with heads mounted as trophies, stalagmites hanging from the top, and an icy chill to it. The room in which the window was crafted is the place of the Lich King; the room in which the Lich King forges his plans of destruction.
Cloaked in skulls and armor soaked within the depths of the Frozen Throne, Arthas stood stout as he watched over his army. Almost 6' 5", Arthas was staunt and burly.
He quickly turned his head as he heard footsteps in the corridor behind him. He smiled as he felt the death coming towards him. The door opened, revealing a grim looking zombie-like figure, standing only 4' 3" with his back hunched over. With his flesh torn and bloody body oozing of death and despair, he said in a dark and low voice "Why have you summoned me?"
"You shall see soon enough" Arthas replied as he started walking towards the creature.
He pulled out his sword and pointed it at the creature as he flinched.
"Raze, of the Newletts? The power of the Underworld and the one coming to these lands looking for revenge on the wretched beasts that roam the land?" Arthas said with pride in his voice.
"Yes." was all Raze could manage to say as Arthas stared deep into the beast's eyes.
Arthas' eye shifted to a dark corner in the room. "She's arrived" he said as the room turned to an icy chill. His eyes cut through the darkness like an Abomination's cleaver through fresh Human flesh, and a dark figure grew from the shadow. "The Iron Raven" said Arthas with a snicker. "The name's Eusira" a voice came forth from the corner." A long, and shadowy woman
stepped forth. Her eyes were as red as the thickest of blood, little flesh on her mouth, while having a skeletal look to her shadowy body. Her cape hung from her shoulders to her feet, and her Glaive hung bloodily from her hand. Raze had to blink just to realize what had just been in the shadows a moment ago. "So, have all of them arrived?" she said in a ghostly manner.
"Almost." said Arthas with little respect in his voice. His head quickly shifted to the door in front of him, and steps could be heard down the Hall. As the door opened, a skeleton-looking man stepped through. With only thing that resembled a man was his figure, with little to know flesh on his bones and horns protruding from his head.
"Welcome, Nith'ael, prince of Faust's throne" said as he nodded his head in welcome. Nith'ael, with little regard to the greeting from Arthas, walked past and out to the head of the Throne. Arthas and Eusira looked at eachother, making some sort of agreement without words. Nith'ael bowed his head, examining the monstrous beings of flesh and bones that stood at the forefront of the throne. He rested his hands on the mantle, and seemed to pick out one being from the group.
"Is this the army that you have gathered?" Nith'ael spoke with a grim voice.
"This is but a small remnant of the vast Scourge I have at my disposal" Arthas replied with a snicker.
"Where is the rest of this so-called army?" Nith'ael replied, biting his tongue with the thought of his sharp words.
"Don't speak with such a sharp tongue to our lord, lest you wish to get the flesh peeled off your bones" Raze said with a bitterness in his voice. Nith'ael turned his head at Raze, his pupil sharpened as he examined the beast. His eye shifted towards Arthas as he said "Who shall I asked is this?".
Arthas quickly replied with "Raze, of the Newletts. He shall be commanding his group as we march up on Undercity". "Undercity?" asked Nith'ael.
"We cannot let the recent attacks on the edges of Northrend go unchecked. Sylvanas can only go so far, and she crossed the line."
Nith'ael turned and with a sharp look at Raze, he walked over and sat down at the icy table next to Arthas. Raze glared at Nith'ael examining him, while Arthas looked over to the corner where Eusira was standing. She had moved to the table before any of them had noticed. Arthas picked himself off of the wall and preceeded to sit down at the table as well.
"So, may I ask of these plans to seige Undercity from Sylvanas and her Forsaken?" Eusira said stauntly. Arthas turned his head to a chest, and slowly got up and walked towards it. Raze and Eusira glanced at eachother in question. Arthas slowly opened the chest and pulled out a peice of parchment. He closed the chest and walked back to the table. Nith'ael leaned back in his chair as Arthas opened the peice of parchment and laid it on the table.
It was revealed to be a map of the Eastern Kingdoms, with strange markings in the Plaguelands.
"Here, in Brightwater Lake resides a hidden tunnel that was worked on when Undercity was crafted by the Scourge. This tunnel was not revealed to anyone, so Sylvanas most likely does not know." Arthas said as he pointed to a lake on the map.
"Ah, I see. Your planning to sneak thruogh the tunnels and hit Undercity from below?" Nith'ael said eagerly.
"They will suspect something if we come undetected. Sylvanas will expect a large siege from the North shore and will plan to clog the top of Undercity where the first line interesects" Arthas replied.
Pointing to a section with multiple layers and level labeled "The Undericty" he said "The top level is one carved out with elevators leading below. Abominations guard that level, and Sylvanas will plan to clog that level and the elevators. We'll hit them hard from the top, satisfying her taste, while we sneak below through that tunnel. The tunnel leads directly below Undercity, and it'll take some time to dig our way up. It stops about 1 kilometer to the surface of the lowest level of Undercity."
"They'll never see it coming" Raze said as he leaned forward and rubbed his mangled and fleshless chin.
"But, what if they have discovered the tunnel? They could warn for a sneak attack and flood the tunnels with these elevators" Eusira replied while pointing to the lowest level of the Undercity on the map.
"There's also this tunnel, leads directly into the lowest level. They have used it most likely, and we'll have a small group clog that corner and grab their attention. We can sneak through the bottom and hit the core of the city hard. The core is one so weak, it will certainly take heavy casualities if pushed in the right way" Arthas replied while walking around the table with his hands behind his back.
Nith'ael leaned up while Eusira stood up and walked over to the corner. Raze stood up stauntly and proudly while raising his fist.
"So, the time to lay siege to this world has finally come...This world will feel the wrath of our new Demigod, Arthas! And the Burning Legion shall once again engulf the world! It is time...to set this world....ABLAZE!"
