Abilities

Ok, how do you creat new abilities? And can you also make them as item abilities?

You can only create custom abilities easily in TFT. If you sue RoC, you have to edit the data feilds of the abilities within the MPQ, which, trust me, is NOT fun to do.

If your using TFT, just open the Object Editor and hit the 'Abilities ' Tab. There you can right click any ability, hit 'Create Custom Abgility' and pick a base ability to create it.

What version of the game do you have?
RoC = Reign of Chaos
TFT = The Frozen Throne, which is the expansion disc.

TFT not only holds more heroes and abilities, but does a lot more for the editor as well. RoC editors cannot make new abilities without it being very very complicated, so if you use RoC, my advise is to go buy TFT

I could do both. But I have Frozen Throne. So I guess. I could do a little homework and find out.

Very easy. Open the Object Editor, click the Abilities Tab, click the Create New Ability button, select the Ability you want to base your custom one off of, and your ready to go!!!

Just curious, what kind of ability did you think of creating?

If you have TFT, you don't need WinMPQ. Just go under Module->Object Editor, hit the 'Abilities' tab, and right click the left side and hit 'Create Custom Ability'.

After that, pick an abiltiy to base your abiltiy off of and hit 'OK'.

man i wanted to make a custom abiltity and i was about to start a thread just like this, ive heard of RoC and stuff but i didnt know what they ment so I guess thank you for helping me but..... how hard is it to use that mpq thing
and also the question ive been asking since i got here
