Reminds me of silly colourations by using high numbers in Starforge, allowing you to assign random textures, sometimes animated, based on the terrain you were using. Was neat when you find that perfect black on units/black on minimap combo that could be elusive and wasn't natural in SC.

Back on topic, this is hilariously unstable. On the map i tried this on, only 23 ever seemed to work at all, and even then it crashes half the time. Sometimes immediately, sometimes when the unit is selected, whatever. Still got some neat effects going. In any case, this is both pretty whacky and an epic win.

Hehehe. Player colors are a nice little array of .blps. We're abusing ConvertPlayerColor to get other random .blp files. I don't think Blizzard has any sort of protection on those Convert...() natives. Isn't that... fun?

Like the wisp made of white circles. That's the selection circle texture (AND IT LOOKS AWESOME).

I notcied somethin:
you can overlap two (or more?) of these textures.
i just tried some random ints and then i got an grey wisp with those selection
thingies around.

And, sometimes it crashes if you select the wisp.

e: i also think that some of some are not constant.

Yes... This has been said multiple times within this thread, refers to Jesus's post. Some numbers will crash.

Anyone want to try preloading textures and loading them to a unit with abstract player colours? :p

Renamed thread to Abstract Player Colours. And will probably approve it soon as this thread is a priceless resource, in my opinion.

I actually tryied with "Thunder clap" and it doesn't work.
It stays the same.

Though, J4L thing with the wisp can work with any hero. I tried with proudmore and it works.
