Adding Cliff Tilesets...

I'm trying to alter a map's terrain to be fall instead of winter.
I already replaced all the normal tiles, but the cliff tiles are becoming a problem.
I can't just replace cliff tiles in 'modify tiles', and when I use 'replace cliff tiles', it only lets me select those from the original terrain setting -- winter. So I need to add a fall cliff tile somehow, any ideas?

Under modify tiles, there are 'Cliff base tile' subgroups. These seem to let me use the base part of cliff tiles, but not the cliff part of cliff tiles. Any ideas?

Ok, there`s a editor different version of the editor called WE Unlimited. Its practically the same thing as the standard editor, with some extra features... and one of them is adding cliff tiles from other tile sets to your map.
But there are still limitations... you wont be able to use them as real cliffs... you can only use them as normal tiles, with textures of the cliffs you chose. And it can mess up your map, so before doing it, make a copy of it.

To actually do the cliff adding, open the WEU Enhancer, and press edit map...

p.s. I must say, though, that its almost always better looking if you use higher, lower, plateau n smooth tools (my opinion )

Unfortunately, if I use the WEU to change the cliffs, only people who run the game with a WEU patch will be able to see the cliffs, so it's kinda pointless.
Come on, how is it that I can use any tile I want but can't change cliffs? =/

How do the people who alter WinterMaul so much do it? They don't use the same cliffs..

Well, only if you actually use em as cliffs, ppl will have to have the patch to run your map. If you jsut use em as regular tiles, it will be ok.

Yea, well I decided to upgrade my map alittle further to just using the basic Maul map, but replacing all the cliffs and whatnot with a fully functional looking town.
The problem is, even though I can replace tiles and whatnot, the game insists to use snow outlines where I place water and such.

Any ideas?

Like.. is there any way to make it forget, completely and utterly, that it ever had anything to do with snow, and to perhaps tell it that it's actually a forest, not a mountain?

Never mind... didnt work... so i guess theres no way to pull it out.
Once you choose a tileset, you have to stick with the cliffs from that tileset... sry
Like I said, eather dont use cliffs... or ehh... start over from strach

Naw you can do a mass change if you can compromise with a different tileset.
