is there a way to make single target abilities into area effect abilities? like a spell that would have the same circle as like death and decay or flame strike before you cast it and just make it use an ability on every unit in the circle.... you know what.... i know poeple make their own spells, someone should just make a spell that has an ability listed as dataA1 or something and just make the ability cast that spell on every unit in the area. that would be so awesome and useful in so many ways if someone could do that. if there is an ability ilke that that im missing somehow let me know. but back to the original question, is there anyway to make single target abilities into area effect abilities?

I don't know of an easy way to do this, but there is a method using triggers, if you don't mind using them.
Create your ability off of Channel. There's a great Channel tutorial going around, do a search for it. Set the AoE to whatever you want. For the trigger, pick every unit within <AoE> of Targeted point, create a dummy unit at (Picked unit), have the dummy unit cast the spell you wanted, then kill all the dummy units.
