I also have vertical lines across my screen when I load War3. How do you switch back to an older model? Is it an option you can perform, or do you have to physically install an older model?

Yes, what are you referring to when you say "older model"? Are you referring to your video card's model? If you are, then yes, if you want to change it, you'll have to open up your computer case and exchange the video card seated in your AGP slot/one of your PCI slots with another one. This is assuming that you have a video card that isn't integrated onto your motherboard. If you have an integrated video card, then you won't be able to change it (well, not easily I guess).

If you're referring to your video card's model, I was going to ask why you want to change it, but now that I think about it, probably one of the best ways to troubleshoot this problem is to try using another video card. If you're going to do this, make sure that before you physically install the new card, uninstall the drivers for the old one. Install the drivers (preferably the latest version of them) after putting in the new card, then try the game again. If the problem doesn't occur with one or more other cards, most likely the drivers for your old card were corrupted or not installed properly, or the old card is simply defective. If the problem still occurs with a completely different card and completely different drivers, then your problem could lie with other software you have installed, including Windows, or it could have something to do with the "heart" of your computer, which is your motherboard. In that case, personally I would try using another motherboard in the system and format the hard drive/reinstall Windows from scratch.

How long have you had this vertical line problem with Warcraft III?

You should consider the following suggestions before experimenting with a different video card (yes, they were copied and pasted from a post I made in another thread)

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card installed? Your video card drivers are the software that Windows uses to "communicate" with your video card. You can get the latest version of those drivers at your video card maker's website. To find out what kind of video card you have, follow these steps:

- Right-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and click Properties
- Click the Device Manager tab
- Click the plus sign next to the Display Adapters category
- What's listed there is the video card you have installed in your system

Do you have the latest version of DirectX installed? DirectX is a Windows API (Application Programming Interface) that almost all games designed for Windows 95 and up use, including Starcraft. You should have the latest version of DirectX installed for optimal performance and stability with games that use it. You can get it here:

Is it possible for you to take a screenshot of what you're seeing and upload it somewhere for everyone to see?

Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.

  • Ghan Ghan:
The first gate is stopping all the bots that don't execute javascript.
  • Ghan Ghan:
That's the main thing with Anubis - no Javascript, no site. Typically you can still get the site to load without Javascript.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I remember the whole javascript thing, question - how many real people disable that?
  • The Helper The Helper:
Hell I guess I could go back on the stats to know that - we probably capture that and we know the before and after
  • Ghan Ghan:
Real users can't really disable Javascript anymore these days.
  • Ghan Ghan:
The internet is broken without it.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Bot readable, not human usable.
  • The Helper The Helper:
    got it
