Animation Use Question

I downloaded Talon the Mage's Advanced Marine and in the world editor noticed that it has a lay down on stomach and crawl animation i was wondering how i could use this to make an ability like you crawl and it slows your movement but you have an ability like evasion while you are crawling. I am able to use triggers, but i wasn't sure how to activate the alternate animation, would it be like

events a unit uses an ability crawl
show crawl animation
give unit ability
etc.

i know that this isn't exactly right but i don't have the editor in front of me at the moment.

What are the animation names?

It likely has an alternate animation built into the model. Alternate animations can be activated by a trigger I believe. Animations are found in the object editor too - just take a look at the human towers (scout tower, guard tower, cannon tower) if you need to get an idea of what fields are used.

You could probably base this off defend too.

Ok ill try that thanks for the advice, i didn't think about the defend ability.

Doesnt defend change the units animation to its Defend version? Or is that just its alternate (Like work for crow form etc)
