Another Crash to Desktop Solution

I've noticed that most ppl that have this problem have the VIA chipset and most likely have the lastest driver for it. Which in most cases causes these crashes not just for battlefield but for nearly every EA game out there. The solution I highly recommend is using Version 4.38 of the 4-1 VIA driver which you can download at http://viaarena.com . There is a very good chance that this will work if your a VIA user.

i allways use the latest hyperion drivers and i never had a problem i am running 2 machines with a via chipset
 
wow this fix actually worked. I gameplay is flawless now. I think messiah forgot to leave out the fact that this will work only on Windows XP(which is what I have) or 2000. Apparently for those who don't have this problem with thier VIA is likely because they have the kt333 chipset or higher(which I don't have) therefore they should get the lastest 4-1 hyperions. Thanks Messiah I nearly used the CDs as a coaster cause I couldn't figure out the problem after tryin 30 different fixes spaning 3 months. Good Post.

Is it possible to downgrade? Back to 4.38?

yes, just download 4.38 and install it. If the fix doesn't work for you, you can always go back and reinstall whatever driver your using.

Do u have to have somwthing specific to install the drivers?
 
on the page is mentioned wich chipsets are supported .
usually when u have a via chipset it works

    I have two salmon, Sockeye and Atlantic. Atlantic is used for the kids salmon and the salmon and beet salad, and can also be added onto any dish or just as a side. Atlantic salmon will almost exclusively ever be FARMED, as it is endangered in the wild, and we ALWAYS cut them to 4 ounces.

    SOCKEYE salmon, very different and this IS wild caught. We have an ENTREE version, and an add on version. The entree is 7 ounces, the add on is 4. Why? Because that is how someone that wasn't me set up the computer.
