Another type of CTD

Im really starting to hate this game. I have 2 setups, ones a PC,

1.6ghz P4
256 ram
32 Geforce 2 MX
XP Pro

On this system, although it meets system requirements it runs unplayable slowly. The computer isnt that good pretty old so i dont really care that much.

On my laptop i have...

2.2ghz P4 M
512 DDR ram
64 Geforce 440 go
XP Home

When the game runs it runs fine, however most of the time ill click to connect to a server, and i get CTD, no error's nothing just straight back to my desktop. This seems to happen when i try to connect to 1 server and it fails, or ive just left a game. I dunno it might even be more random. Any ideas??? Problem is ive had this game for ages waiting for my new laptop now ive got it, its not working very well.

And EA Games are a mickey mouse company, i cant get any tech help out of them.

Looks like you'll probably have to wait for 1.5 patch to come out, because that seems to be the only way that MIGHT solve the CTD problem

OR

You wait until Nvidia releases its new drivers and hope that they fix the problem with that.

Either way Nvidia/EA needs to get moving, although it's mostly EA's fault.

On your PC a better vid card would probably solve that problem, make sure not to run anything in the background, you don't have enough memory to have other programs running.

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
