I have a client that desperately needs to have someone do some on spec contract web design specifically doing emails for the different email campaigns that they have going on. Not spam stuff it is on an opt in news list and already has someone that can send the email and manage the lists. This would be making changes to the website and doing the email campaign html pages. Whoever does this has to be responsible and can communicate and be on time with the work. The problem they have now is the current people take too long and have bad customer service. The website is

I do freelance web design & development for small businesses (experience with HTML/CSS/JS, as well as Wordpress), but I don't do spec work. Have some experience with managing email campaigns in the past as well. If interested, I can send a link to examples of my work.

I asked the guy he said you had not called yet. I think I might try to go for all the IT stuff at that place and manage it so if I get that gig I will post again. If you want to call him anyway just to introduce yourself tell him Chris Brockman referred you he is a good person to know. He might know someone else that wants what you can do and if you mention me he will talk to you.

I called Thursday and Scott's brother picked up and said he wasn't in and to try his email, and that he will let Scott know I called. Ended up emailing Scott right after but haven't received a reply. Not really sure, but it's possible the email just ended up in spam or something. Will call again Monday to see if I can talk to him. Here's hoping you get the gig!

I sent your resume in like a freaking Boss! Waited for the right time and sent it in. Hopefully they will be calling you. Looking for someone to do the HTML in the campaign emails and help in the website design for those email targets. The tool they use to send mails is pretty easy to use so I am doing that but all the design stuff is out there. I hope can be in on the call if they make it. You have a nice resume they should call you.

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I'm looking at a solid 378 guests, but 3 members. Of which two are me and VSNES. The third is unlisted, which makes me think its a ghost.

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
