The doodads was originally made for this project and later released. They were not made for Undead Assault, rather they downloaded and used our models, probably without any sorts of credit as everybody is thiefs.
This will probably never be finished anyways Oninuva and if it will I don't really care.
@ESB: Craka_J is a horrible leader and I never want to be involved with any of his projects again. All this time I have been on his "team" (aka slaveworkshop) I have received little to no information about anything what so ever and neither have I recieved any credits hardly for my work putted into the project both promotion and workload wise, but just seen as a second rate helper for craka.
Regardless, this is not an attack on the project nor Craka_J and I wish the best for the project, I am just discontent with the way craka is handling things, not his actual person.
Yeah, I can understand that. I worked with people like that before, and I had a CO like that in the Army although that's a little different.
Although, you do seem to be knowledgeable on various things. So, would it be acceptable for me to ask how you intended to integrate a physics system into a game lacking any sort of such capability without it lagging or working horribly?
There are several allready working physic systems made for Wc3, Varine, not the best, but they do the trick. We want(ed) to either implement iNfraNe's premade system and expand it or make our own, didn't receive to much information on that.
I must say that looks AMAZING!. Anyway the file size is too big, as you have a lots of models i suggest in use MDX Squizer (Look in tutorials zone for a reducing file size thing).
Anyway i will play this, i am 100% sure about it. Gj!
That's the problem with Battle.Net, this map would be ausome, and if made with enough random situations (so it is fun to replay), then it could take over battle.net, except the map is to big, so it can't be hosted.
The terrain is the best i've seen, the physics system will be great if done correctly. One of the best maps i've seen.
The map will be under the BNet limit size ofcourse, it would not be that big a hassle. Since many of the models are just animless doodads then it is just the skins that takes up space and those would be squished a great deal. Models are what, 2-10 kb each of the doodads, it is the skins that are killers and those can, if done correctly, be reduced around 50-70%.
And I am not a newbeginner just learning about Warcraft modding, 0zaru, I know about the different programs such as MDXsquizer.
@emjlr3: Thanks, I am sceptic about the project myself, especially about Craka_J's management, but things are looking "ok" at the moment.
@FhelZone: Thanks for the flatter.
@MCR-ELSKER: Thanks for the flatter. Been around a long time on/off, so was bound to learn something along the ride, right?
If you want to learn more in reguards to mapping or just want to join up with some fellow scandinavian modders then check out www.gamemodding.dk MCR-ELSKER.
I was working with Craka_J for a while, just making a website (Didn't finish... Don't have time ) but it seems it won't be out for quite a long while. He's working more on his WoW:Mod (For wc3)
esb you are wrong. Craka_J quitted wc3:wow about a month ago, as far as I know he is still more or less working on Apocalypse, but very slowly, very very slowly. Without any proper triggerers the map doesn't come far and craka doesn't seem to do a whole lot of advertising/seeking members or anything so it seems doomed, which was also the reason I left the team.
Oh, well I talked with Craka a while ago (Might have been more than a month, don't know)
Oh well, it had potential. I think you can download a map with the models and stuff in the forum.
It is more or less defunct, some stuff has been made but not enough for it to be fully playable and as most wc3 modders are lazy the map probably won't be finished.
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
