so, the video is good, but I am going to say this as an owner of the VCS. The VCS is not a ps5 or xbox series s, and they don't claim it to be. The processor in it, is probably not terrible compared to like a ps4 or an xbox one, but lack of video processor keeps it from being in these categories. That being said, the ability to run, windows, linux, I think people have even put android os on it gives so much flexability. You can watch my youtube videos and see how it does playing like need for speed remastered or wolfenstein tempest and stuff like that. Because I can install an os, i can put emulators for pretty much anything I want on it, except Nuon I guess. lol. The system has so much flexability and it looks good on an entertainment center. Lots of steam games will play on this, lots of emulators, and probably stuff I have not even thought of. The flexability of being able to use pc controllers, xbox controllers, ps4 controllers and many more is great. To me the vcs is certainly worth the money to me. That being said I am an Atari Junkie
I have a jag, a jag cd, pro controller and memory cartridge. My favorite game for the system is NBA Jam. I used to have everything but I sold it all off except for a few things.
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
