Attack/Defense/Armor Types

Anyone know where i can find a good site to get info on damage factors attack vs def or if i can access it in a file somewhere in the war3 files(Maybe change them as well)? Also, in the object editor, there is a value "Armor Type"...Does this value affect anything? I've experimented with it and nothing seems to change. off of the top of my head theres ethereal, flesh, stone, metal, and wood.(just so no one thinks im talking about defense types)

Oh yea, how does choosing "None" as attk/def/arm affect units?

Just check it in a map.

I believe having "None" as your attack type means it is set to Chaos, because Chaos does full damage to every kind of armor.

Depending on wood, metal, and all that, I believe you get a rating of armor. Metal should be heavy or fortified, whilst wood would be light or medium.

I believe that is correct. I don't bother with this stuff though, so I could easily be wrong.

thanks for the link, armor vs attack ratings are a lot more organized than the sites ive seen so far.

for the armor types and defense types, im still confused.

Combat - Defense Type
Normal
Small
Medium
Large
Fortified
Hero
Devine
Unarmored

The above is actualy the armor the unit has(norm, light, medium, heavy, fort...)
Devine only takes damage from chaos and normal confuses me more. when i test a unit with normal armor the mouse over tooltip states Normal armor but says "Medium armor takes reduced damage from..". Anyone see this as well?

Ethereal
Flesh
Metal
Stone
Wood

I cant find anything on the above

"Combat - Armor Type" effects sound when hit. Bash, wooden, a clank, nasty slice, etcetera.

Yes, I see it. Some time ago, they changed the names. The order is still the same

Small = Light, etcetera.

Ok, armor type is clear to me now(sound)

def type ( normal is still hazy)

Normal = ?
Small = Light
Medium = Medium
Large = Heavy
Fortified = Fortified
Hero = Hero
Divine = Devine
Unarmored = Unarmored

Nothing much to add here, except that Normal is called Normal in the World Editor.

lol, this thread is so old, i forgot about it. I read read the first post of it w/o looking at who posted it and I was going to reply telling the poster that i asked the same exact question a while ago, hahaha.
