Attack Ground point,+rep

How can I detect the point where a unit attacks with attack ground and deals damage.

Assuming you're using "issued an order targeting a point" as your event, and you're forcing the attack ground order

No, I'm not forcing the unit to attack ground thats the problem. Guess "issued an order targeting a point" dosen't work when the unit are "auto-attack-grounding".

Or are they ordered once and left attacking the point for the rest of the game?

That could work but I need the center of the point and the unit deals area of effect damage so the unit dosen't have to stand in the middle.

No.

Periodically order the unit to attack ground? As for the GetUnitLoc thing, you should add a small wait (0.1 since it's likely to be wrong anyway and be a longer wait than expected) and get the unit loc then, otherwise you could get a previous location for the attacked unit when the projectile is fired (and triggered damaged occurs at one point, projectile damage occurs at another)
