battle.net problem

I am having serious probs with battle.net cuz i can't log on to ne us realms cuz i recieve a error message in the form of'connecting to the fastest server' then recieveing 'unable to connect to b.net'its been like this for almost nearly a month now and i do not want my account deleted since its been the only one i started ever since i played the game.plz helpissed:

We need more information to help you. What had you done to the computer when this started happening? What connection do you have? What are your system specs?
Don't worry, accounts don't get delete until 90 days of inactivity.

I logged out and when i tried to log back in thats when it started to happen,no adjustments were made to my knowledge,I have a cable modem,what are specs anyway?im confused

I m having the same exact problem on US west.......US east is alright though..tried everything Bnet said to do to fix it , and nothing has worked!

I would not be so sure... Battle.net deleted my friend's character after a month of inactivity. The account is still there though... Someone could have guessed his password since it was easy and deleted his character.

I can't seem 2 connect 2 battle net at all. When I try 2 connect i get the message unable 2 connect. I have a P3 800 with 384 mb ram & a cable conn. IP games r running without any problems.

Can ne1 plz help?????!!!!

Have you tried a different gateway? i.e. try USWest instead of USEast

Im having this same problem on USwest
Doesnt happen on USeast.
This machine is a nat box, I run a couple of other machines behind this one, each with it's own cdkey- and I run those machines too. For the last 2 nights I've been getting "unable to connect to battle net" type messages that dont go away until the next morning. Now they are lasting longer. I dont understand what is going on.
I hope I havent been banned, because I dont believe im doing anything wrong.

here is the error i get when trying to use broodwar

(im tryping this for a second time... first got lost in updating GRRR)

i try all 4 servers and get the same error, almost instantaniously. the url they provide does jack for me. This is done on an XP Home pc.

when it try to connect to warcraft 3 beta i also get the error 'unable to connect' (this is what i really want to be fixed, i feel tho that fixing the sc problem will fix this and the stuff below)

my network: i have an adsl router that goes to a linksys firewall that goes to an 8 port linksys hub and them my pcs connect to that.

i also have 'internet' problems with some other programs like gamespy, kali, and some irc progs. However aim, icq, half life game server search thing, a different irc prog, etc all work just fine. The problamatic programs try to connect to different servers but they act like the server does not exsist at all, cannont see it. when i use a command prompt to ping the same ip address it works just fine.

here's where it gets sticky:
i also have an NT machine on my network that runs all these programs just fine. but to just be 100% sure its not the networking stuff i tried connecting just the adsl router to the hub (restarted) and the progs on the XP still didnt work. I also ported the starcraft port to the XP machine in the linksys firewall to no avail. Ive also restarted my pc, the networking hardware many times and reinstalled alot of the programs.

shocking news:
originally gamespy worked just fine but i updated to the newer version and it stoped working. i seem to recall this hapening before and that i downgraded to fix it but now i dont have the old version to go back to.

oh humm.. this blowz and i really wana play war3 beta so any help is ofcourse very apriciated and i can answer any stuff ya need

I'd say some ports are obviously blocked. Can you disable that firewall somehow or open some ports ?

Battle.net is now "NAT Friendly" and the Blizzard Entertainment games should work fine with most NAT implementations without ANY special settings. If you are behind a firewall you will have to open port 6112 and set it to receive inbound and outbound UDP and TCP packets. Unpatched versions of Diablo will also use port 116 and 118 for TCP/IP traffic. Diablo II users must additionally have port 4000 open for TCP/IP traffic.



Also, it might be a good idea to try this :

Click on Start then Run
Type "regedit" and click OK
Click on the + icon beside the "HKey_Local_Machine" branch
Click on the + icon beside the "Software" branch
Select the "Battle.net" branch and press the delete key
Click on the + icon beside the "HKey_Current_User" branch
Click on the + icon beside the "Software" branch
Select the "Battle.net" branch and press the delete key

i have done the regi clear thing a few times

i also mapped the sc port and also completely elliminated the firewall from my network and it didnt work. but it did work on my other (NT) pc without being mapped and also with the fire wall there.
