I'm begining to become sick and tired of battle.net.
First, they mute my cd key on Starcraft Broodwar, and refuse to supply a reason for as to why they muted me, and they will not unmute it even though I have filled out a CD-Key unmuting submission form multiple times over the past 5 months. I dont mind this too much, as I don't play starcraft as much as I use to, and Blizzard claims records of offences on battle.net are "Confidential" and "Not availible to the public" which is understandable.
Second, the 1.10 patch has given many people nothing but problems. I tried to host game's and receive error's fairly frequently, mostly the same ones claiming "invalid network" pointing to a directory that doesnt even exist on my hard drive. Not to mention the large number of crashes that reveal my desktop. (And the error log in the Starcraft Directory remains empty)
Third, I went out and bought Diablo II LOD, installed it without a problem, then proceded to connect to battle.net where the 1.09D patch was downloaded and installed succesfully.
But, as the application restarted and attempted to connect to battle.net again, I received the error "You have been disconnected. Please reconnect" which temporarily BANS me from battle.net so that I cannot access it at all.
I then went to the battle.net website, tried every single thing possible to try and fix the connection problem, from deleting bnetcache, to deleting registry keys, to using telenet. But yet, the problem remained. I then reinstalled diablo II, and LOD, and STILL it would not work.
I then contacted technical support by logging onto USWest Battle.net and discussing the problem with a blizzard representative "Nathan.L". Nathan suggested that the problem was associated with my ISP, and that I should try contacting them. I called Sympatico, and explained the situation to a Technical Support person, who then told me that there is nothing sympatico can do to rectify the problem, as Sympatico does not have the Diablo II software on hand.
So now what? Can somebody PLEASE help me with LOD as I am very frustrated after spending $40 on it (which is non-refundable).
Thanks for your time,
