I haven't played Starcraft before, so I'm assuming all of this from a Warcraft-ish point of view. A bomb that takes out an army wouldn't be accepted there. Though I have heard units are much cheaper in Starcraft.
i havent played starcraft either.. but from what i've heard....
starcraft is a massing game where you can have hundreds of units (i.e. zerglings.)
and is the opposite of wc3 which is has a more strategic gameplay with small unit cap.

Starcraft is about getting more units than Warcraft 3. Units are a lot cheaper, so they're easier to destroy. The missile only attacks one unit, but it deals splash damage. The Zerg player's units were too close together, so they took a lot of damage.

No, the zerg player was a total idiot.... I still can't beleave..... ffs... yes, we all love spamming zerglings, but there is a fine.... Ok.. things I am 100% that starcraft 2 has and cloud have changed the outcome of the mach:
Lurkers, Mutaliscs, more roaches ( did you see the insane regen ?! ) perhaps a nidys worm... actually, the minute that the Matt left the other guy without army and didn't attack I was 100% sure that the zerg were doomed.

Anyone else curious why the banelings weren't rolling, but were walking? Is it because that guy didn't make the baneling ms update?

Ignoring your horrendous spelling, how do you know that Starcraft II still has all of those things? You don't. Besides, I don't think the Zerglings were ineffective; he just wasn't defending his base.

Note how on the Terran tech tree there is no Hunter Seeker Missile. That means it's out of date, so you don't know for sure whether any of those units are still in the game, or as powerful as you think they are.

Noted. Still, don't you think that this battle report was supposed to show off the new gameplay?

I think the problem with the Zerg player was that he was too focused on controlling the map, whereas the Terran player had time to tech up and get the advantage by having higher-tech units.

Those lists are very much up to date, pretty much every little change (especially in the units and their purposes) gets listed there. And yes, the Hunter Seeker missiles are there, but as they aren't a unit as much as a missile/ability, they are listed in the Nighthawk abilities.

As for the Zerg playing, the problem he had was that he didn't do anything with the map control he gained. Zerg often need a bit more expos and resources than the opposing player, but since they're very good at expoing, it's only natural. The player here didn't really get the resource advantage that he should've gained, nor did he use the time of safety to tech up too well. Either could've tipped the scales to his favor.

Yea, zerg should be doing some mutalisk harrasment and maybe use burrowed baneling to trap terran to his base and then just expand everywhere.

I must say that I actually like the new zerg and new protoss, but terrans are just one big fail. I mean, marines with shields?? and those marauders make no sense either.

And that giant robot unit is maybe the saddest thing we have seen this far.

The Zerg indeed looks pretty cool. Banelings are my favorites this far.
Those new infested terrans kinda suck...

They should just make some infest ability, that can infest terrain buildings and make them spawn weak and slow zerg zombies for free. They could be used as meat shields or something like that.

IF there were...... 2 lurckers.... the zerg wloud have won..... the lurcers wloud have hitted all of the land units at once, and they do 20 dmg. They need 5 seconds to kill the marines and about 10 to kill all marauders... alone, without any other help... Other then that good game. But I expected a bit more from the zerg player.

those nighthawks detect stealth though right? so lurkers wouldn't have been good.

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
